6 Ways To Make Outerwear Look Good

Emma Watson - Emma Watson Visits 'Letterman'

Emma Stone
Fall and winter weather call for sweaters, jackets, layers, and overall bulkiness which can make you feel like a complete frump. Now there is no  way you can go out without at least a jacket, but you can make your outerwear and sweater more fitted. Try out these tips to make sure you look good while staying warm and cozy in your outerwear.
  1. Fitted Jackets! Fitted jackets work like blazers, they help to keep with and define our frame. Fitted jackets are perfect for the fall because they are not too heavy, but will still keep you warm.
  2. Stand Out Color! Outerwear in dark colors can get old, try it in a vibrant grey, bright whites, or even be bold and go for reds or purples. The colors take away from all the extra layers and make your look shine.
  3. Try It On! You're always supposed to try clothing on before making the purchase, but you especially need to follow this rule with sweaters and jackets. A too big sweater will look super baggy on you and not fit under your jacket and a too small jacket will not go over your outfit.
  4. Thin Sweaters! A thin sweater may seem like a contradiction of the whole point of a sweater, but it actually works better. A thin sweater is easy to layer with, it can go underneath leather and fur vests, jackets, and more.
  5. Belt it! The best thing you can ever do is define your waist which can be done with wide or medium belt. The belt will showcase the tiniest part of your body and even give you an hourglass shape effect.
  6. Bows, Studs, and Details! Accessories will always lighten up our outfit and make it come to life instead of a dud. Adding clip on bows to neckline, studs to color, using print/pattern, anything to add detail to your overall look will make your sweaters and outwear more fun.

OOTD: Leather and Letterman

So I decided that it's finally to pull out my favorite pair of leather pants! It's been so windy outside I had to have something to cover up and warm my legs while still feeling super cute and chic. I paired my leather pants with a cute crop top with a black cami underneath and my grey and white Letterman jacket. By the way, this is the Letterman jacket I have been talking about forever! The jacket is super warm, but not smothering so it's perfect for fall weather. Lastly, I just threw on my grey tennis shoes to break up all the black while going along with the colors of my jacket, plus they're super comfy.

Here you can see a more detailed look of my top, I especially love the sequin detail of the owl's wing. However, I wore my jacket most of the day because of the cold weather. I always have to wear a belt to keep my pants up so I put on my black leather, silver studded belts. My accessories include 2 gold rings on each hand, my JLANI Jewels ring/bracelet chain, my Free Spirit bracelet, and gold Betsey Johnson boyfriend watch.

I also wore my favorite ear accessory, my gold leaf cuff. I think it looks so good mixed in with my hair, because it glitters and dangles through. Judt to let you know, I did not cut my hair! I had layers put in about a month among so when I curl the front of my hair under it looks shorter than it really is, but it's still healthy and strong!

Let me know what your wearing today in the comments below!

Fashion 101: Disco Pants

Disco Pants

Okay so at first glance you may think these are flashbacks of the pants Oliva Newton John wore in Grease and you're absolutely right. Fashion as well as music and other popular trends are usually a rewind of trends in past decades. Anyways, I have to showcase the trend of disco pants! I totally want a pair of disco pants, they look like high-waisted leather pants that hug your body like leggings and come in a variety of colors. Disco pants will work heels, flats, and tennis shoes and look great with any type of top. They really work like jeans in you wardrobe, but better because of their smooth and tight fit. Disco pants can work into any style depending on how you style them, their color, and how you work them.

Will you be trying out disco pants this fall?

Last Minute Halloween Costume Ideas

Steve Urkel
If your like me and don't really celebrate Halloween, then I'm guessing your not going to go out and buy an expensive costume. However, I am sure that your closet contains the perfect costume that is inexpensive and will make it appear like you totally didn't plan your costume 15 minutes before time to go. Now you may still be wondering why I posted a picture of Steve Urkel, well keep on reading to find out!
  • Nerd! All you need for a nerd costume are too short jeans (or roll them up!), any type of tucked in shirt, loafers, and to top it off you may want to add suspenders and oversized glasses. Make the look by "acting" like a nerd and carrying a nice supply of pens and pencils.
  • A decade! Choose a decade such as the 80's and dress in all bright colors, a big side ponytails, and leg warmers. If you choose the 70's throw on some wide leg jeans, for the 90's wear lots of denim, and for the 50's try out a poodle skirt, oxfords, a cardigan.
  • Homer Simpson! Put on a white, preferably collard tee shirt, jeans, and black shoes. Get the full effect of Homer Simpson by stuffing something round underneath your shirt and of course hold a yummy donut!
  • A tourist! We all know what a stereotypical tourist looks like, they always have a fanny pack, a camera, mom jeans or cargo shorts, a Hawaiian shirt or tee shirt, and good walking shoes. Be sure to embody the whole act of being a tourist to make the costume stand out!
  • An Olympian! I'm sure you have some type of medal, just throw it around your neck and put on any type of athletic wear.
  • A couple other great ideas include the Sun Drop girl, Flo the progressive girl, Spongebob Square Pants, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson from her Rhythm Nation video, and many more.
Let me know what your costume is for Halloween in the comments below!

Hair 101: Big Messy Bun

I love wearing a big bun right on top of my head! Big messy buns look casual, fun, and put together all in one, plus they're really easy to do. The only issuse with creating a bun is that some days they just don't come out full and voluminous which defeats the whole concept of a big messy bun. I have come up with and perfected my own new way of creating the perfect messy bun that requires only bobby pins, a ponytail holders, and a brush. Keep on reading to find out how to recreate my big messy bun:
  1. Start out by brushing all the tangles out of your hair. Go ahead and pull out any extra hair or bangs that you don't want added in your bun.
  2. Pull the hair the hair you want in your bun up into a ponytail, but do not pull the hair all the way through. Your hair should look like an unfinished ponytail with the end and beginning of your ponytail both in the ponytail holder.
  3. Begin "messing" up your hair by slowing loosening up the unfinished ponytail. As you pull out and loosen up hair be sure to secure the peices with a bobby pin or else it will all fall down.
  4. Use bobby pin or clips to secue any hair that is sticking out or falling all the way out of the style.
  5. For added flair, tie a bandana around the front of your hair, flower clips, or a cute headband.
If you have anymore questions or try out y big messy bun look leave it in the comments below. Rock the bun!

Get The Look: Dark Fall Drama

So I'm guessing you may have seen or at least heard about the latest fall beauty trends for 2012. Dark, rich lips, bold brows, and played up neutral shadows are all the rage this fall. Fall is definitely the season for all the brunettes and dark haired mavens out there! Demi Lovato and Cher Lloyd are both embodying fall's beauty trend and all you need to recreate their look is mascara and liner, brown/neutral colored shadows, foundation, concealer, and lashes (optional).
  1. Start with a clean face and apply concealer as needed. Add a light foundation or tinted moisturizer as well.
  2. Take an eyebrow pencil or an angled eyeshadow brush for a more natural look in a color slightly darker than your hair and fill in your brows. Use light short strokes to carefully define your eyebrows and gradually make them as bold as you would like.
  3.  Take a deep brown shadow and brush it along your lower lid. Blend out the brown to your crease with a medium shade brown with a hint of shimmer and a light color for your brow bone. You an go smokier and deeper with the shadows for more of a nighttime look.
  4. Since the look is all about the eyes and the lips add black liner to your lower and upper lash line as well as 2-3 coats of mascara. False lashes will make your eyes pop and are great to experiment with.
  5. Apply your lipstick directly to your lips, you may need a liner to stay inside your lip line or you can always use concealer. If your looking for a perfect line or want to change up your lip shape, use concealer to make your lips match your skin tone and "re-draw" the lines.
Now you have a dramatic fall perfect beauty look. If your really wanting to go all out you can even use a bronzer and define you cheekbones, but fo rht e daytime I would stick to the original 5 steps. Let me know if you try out the look, be sure to rock it!

Trend Alert: Working With Leather

Leather has always been in, but it is steadily being incorporated into everyone's wardrobe. Leather is great for keeping you warm while still adding edge and texture to your look. I love wearing my leather pants especially since they go with so many different pieces in my wardrobe. Another plus is that just like jeans, leather pants come in multiple colors such as a red pair that I'll be featuring in an OOTD post very soon. Below I showcased Fergie, Miranda Cosgrove, and Jessica Alba all wearing leather within their outfits and styles. Keep on reading to learn how to add leather into your look.
Fergie
Fergie goes the all black route by pairing slouchy skinny leather pants with a casual black top and and fierce heels. The leather pants are very understated, but still give the look edge and amp it up much more than a pair of everyday blue jeans would. Fergie's bag is what really stands out, the wrap-around chains are hot!
Miranda Cosgrove
No one understands how much of an amazing celebrity Miranda Cosgrove is nor her amazing style. Miranda is always sporting such a chic edgy age appropriate look which is why I really love her leather skirt. A leather skirt can easily become too sexy, but the pleating and length of Miranda's leather skirt makes it just right and still shows off some leg. Miranda paired the look with a comfortable loose tank and black booties which keep the look young and chic.
Jessica Alba
Jessica Alba definitely knows how to shake up a classic girly look by adding a dash of leather. Jessica's look went from super classy to amazingly powerful with her leather jacket and top handle bag. Leather jackets are not just for bikers, but also for adding edge and a presence of being big and bad. I don't know if it's just me, but whenever I throw on my leather I feel as though no one can tell me anything, expect my mother of course!

How do you incorporate leather into your look?

DIY Nails: Cheetah, Tuxedo, Geometric

I am so tired of having matching nails, so I had to mix it up this week with this cheetah, tuxedo, geometric combo. This is my very first attempt at tuxedo nails, I first saw the tuxedo design on WAH Nail's Instagram page as well as various YouTube channels and it was love at first sight. I think the design is perfect if you want to have one little comical aspect to your look if your going out for a special occasion. Since I didn't want all my nails to look the same I stuck with my favorite design, cheetah print, on my pinkie and thumb and did a little geometric design on my "no-no" finger. All I used to create the looks are nail stripers and everyday polish, so grab your nail kits and try out the design.
  1. Begin with clean nails and coat them with a clear base coat.
  2. Polish your middle finger grey, the ring and pointer finger white, and the pinkie and thumb a light brown or nude color.
  3. For your pinkie and thumb, take a black nail striper and begin dotting together lines in small C-shapes, you can even fill them in with glitter. The design comes out best if you look a cheetah design as you create your own.
  4. For the middle finger, create stripes and form them together to create connected triangles. Bright colored lines will really make the nail stand out.
  5. For the ring and pointer finger, paint the left and right side of the nail black while leaving a strip in the middle white. Use a dotting tool or toothpick and create 3 buttons going up the white portion. Take a white nail striper and create the collar by drawing one small triangle from the bottom of the nail and connect a half triangle afterwards.
  6. If you would like, use a dotting tool and create bow ties on the tuxedo design. Make a small dot in the middle and two bigger dots on the outsides. A bright colored bow tie looks great against the black and white.
  7. Wait for each of the nails to dry and a clear top coat. You can even add a clear top coat with hints of glitter to make your nails sparkle.
Below are close ups of the three nail designs. Let me know in the comments below if you try out these nails designs and send me pictures!

Fashion 101: Lazy Perfection

Slouchy sweaters paired with skinny jeans is the perfect outfit for a lazy day. Slouchy sweaters are so easy to just throw on over a tank top or cami and feel totally casual. Of course the slouchy sweater makes you feel nice and comfy, but it can also give off a flirty and fun feel. If you place it a little off your shoulder to show some skin it gives off a cute and flirty look, while paired with skinny jeans it adds an even more girly look. Lea Michele, Kate Bosworth, and Selena Gomez, all pictured below, show how to rock a slouchy sweater in different styles perfect for a lazy day.
Lea Michele
Lea Michele looks so casual and laid back in her slouchy sweater. I love how she stuck with the neutral brown color scheme with cute patterned sunglasses. Her side braid is also a great addition to the look and keeps it very "girl next door".
Kate Bosworth
Kate Bosworth is always looking chic and fashion forward. Kate paired her slouchy sweater with patterned skinny jeans and a nice pair of brown wedges. The patterned pants keep the look chic and unique while the heels add the more trendy edge to the look.
Selena Gomez
Selena Gomez is sporting a look that I personally love to wear. The combat boots add major edge to the look as well as darker washed jeans. The holes and distressed parts of the jeans add even more of an edgy aspect to the entire look. Also, chunky jewelry like Selena's adds the girly and punky vibe to the entire outfit.

OOTD: The Best Time To Wear A Striped Sweater

Just because it's fall doesn't mean I'm going to stop wearing bright eye-catching color and funky prints! The weather is getting so breezy so I decided that it's time to pull out my sweaters and on top their happened to be my 4 year old blue and green sweater. This sweater is an old favorite especially since it is in such good condition after all these years! Although the green and blue coloring appear bright in the photos, they're actaully quite dark and needed a little something to lighten the mood and make it more fun. I paired my sweater with these vibrant red pants that stop right above the ankle and gives off a quirky, cool look when worn with oxfords. I wore a blue cami underneath my sweater, I have to keep the little something I do have covered, a small pair of dangly earrings, and four mismatch rings.
Tell me what your wearing for fall and how you style your favorite sweater!

Beauty 101: Deep Skin Tone Tips

Keke Palmer
I love my dark skin complexion, I think it is absolutely beautiful an allows me to experiment with different colors, make-up, and more. Many celebrities like Keke Palmer, Nia Long, and Gabrielle Union with darker skin and deeper complexions always seem to have amazing glowing skin that every girl wants to have. Darker skin tones can easily have dark spots from acne, the sun, and many other factors which are not so pretty. As a teenager you will 99.9% experience acne and skin issues which for me have led to dark spots that I am currently working on. Here are some of the tips and tricks that I have been and will be using on my journey to healthy skin:
  • Exfoliate! The dead skin on your face is holding your skin back so try exfoliating 1-2 times a week. Taking off the dead skin makes my face feel so clean and refreshed!
  • Moisturize! Many moisturizers contain SPF which protects my skin from the sun as well as other vitamins and ingredients that help even out skin tone and balance out your skin.
  • Foundation and/or BB Cream! A foundation and/or BB cream will definitely help to even out your skin while also moisturizing and protecting your skin from the sun. They can also give your skin a lovely dewy look.
  • Clinique! My favorite skincare line is Clinique because it helps your skin while making it look naturally beautiful and radiant. Clinique is a brand that does not use too many harsh ingredients in their products.
  • No fragrances! Fragrant bearing products may smell good, but they can dry out your skin which can cause dry, peeling, and scaling skin.
  • Keep your face clean! Overall washing your face and keeping it clean will always help out your skin no matter its tone or type.

DIY Nails: I Love Fall

I am so obsessed with fall, the leaves are beautiful, the clothing is warm and snugly, and to top it off my birthday is in the wondrous fall months. My nail design for this week definitely embodies how I see fall as well as my love for owls and this beautiful fuchsia nail polish. All you need to recreate the nail look is a nail art brush, dotting tools, a light pink polish, grey, brown, and fuchsia/purple polish color.
  1. Begin with clean nails and coat them with a clear base coat followed by polishing all of your nails a light pink color.
  2. Take your nail art brush and dip it into the brown or purple color and being creating leaves. The leaves will come out great if you begin with the round portion and slowly create the tip, almost like a teardrop.
  3. Now for the owl take the fuchsia color and paint the entire nail except for a small semi circle. Let the polish dry, then add eyes, a beak, and small polka dots with the dotting tool.
  4. The tree can be created with the nail art brush and can have as many branches as you would like, they look more realistic if the have bent and wobbly lines. Use the dotting tool to represent leaves at he end of the tree branches.
  5. Wait about 5-7 minutes for the nails to dry and apply a clear top coat. Be sure to make sure your nails are dry so they will not smear or smudge.
Now your nails are fall perfect, you can even add sparkles, glitters, or play around with different color schemes. Let me know if you try out the nail look!

Fall 2012 Beauty Trends

Fall Beauty Trends

This year's fall beauty trends are so gorgeous, it's all about nudes, browns, deep reds, emerald greens, and regal purples. The colors scream dark princess in my opinion and work for every skin tone. Nail polish is definitely huge this year, every celebrity and fashion brand is beginning to make their own nail line which means everyone's nails are going to painted. A matte black nail color is a great alternative to the everyday shiny black and a nice emerald green, dark red, navy blue, or regal purple are fall ready too. A nude brown is also a trendy nail color that makes your nails appear longer and when it chips, no one can really tell. Not only is a nude brown a trendy nail color, but also a lipstick or gloss. Dark lips in violets and reds are so popular for nighttime looks in fall, while a nude lipstick or nude gloss is great for daytime wear. Don't forget about the hair, Lauren Conrad has switched up her Cali girl blonde hair to brunette which looks amazing and totally embodies fall.

OOTD: Blue, Black, Camo

I have been rocking these camo skinny jeans for 2 years now, so it is definitely time to make a new outfit with them. Instead of pairing the jeans with a black crop top, white tee, or tan sweater, I thought I would add a pop of color. I immediately thought of my blue top, it goes with the edgy look perfectly because of the sheer black sleeves, the sharp angled bottom cut, and the buttons. I decided to wear my wedge army booties to give me some height since the shirt is long and could start to look too drapey if I were to have worn flats.
My silver hoop earrings, black rubber bracelet, and an assortment of rings were the perfect accessories for my outfit. I went with black mascara and a little bit of a winged liner look for my make-up, nothing too extreme since the weather is so humid these days. As for my hair, it was really curly and big from being in a braid out so I pinned the top part backwards and fluffed out the back of my hair.

This look is perfect for everyday wear and all you need is a leather jacket to throw on in case it gets cold.

What Im Loving: Early Fall

What Im Loving

I am currently loving early fall, the weather is breezy, cool, and peaceful. The weather calls for light jackets and sweaters, booties, and even cute pairs of printed tights. Lately I have been seeing so many leather skirts in magazines and they are amazing! Leather skirts add a great amount of edge while still having a soft feel because of their variety of cuts and shapes. Letterman jackets are preppy and fun, I finally got one for myself. Lettermans are lightweight so if it's just a little windy you can throw it on and not burn up. Booties are too cute to me because they allow you to show off your outfit and not be overpowered by long zippers and tall. Booties work with skirts, dresses, jeans, just about everything. The purse adds flair because of the cool print and is small enough to not way you down, but still has enough room for all your must haves. Lastly the two tops are both graphic and slouchy which adds a unqiue image to your look as well as comfort.

Confidence 101: Be Daring

Heidi Klum and Seal
Okay so you you may already know who this is or read the caption, but this is Heidi Klum and Seal... as crows. Halloween, fall festivals, and the entire month of October is about dressing up and completely embracing the theme of fall and dress up. Instead of playing it safe or going the sexy route, be daring and take it all the way with a totally unique idea! Now, you don't need to dress up as a crow, but try going outside your box and stepping out of your comfort zone. If you don't celebrate Halloween, try something new with your everyday fashion since everyone is dressing up anyways! Be daring this October and boost up your confidence.

Hair 101: Don't Fear the Wind

Fall weather is so beautiful, peaceful, and breezy, but it can also be damaging to your hair. The windy breezy can blow your hair all out of place and create tangles. The fall is a great time to get your hair back healthy and try out different protective hairstyles. Hair accessories and updo's are a girl's best friend during the colder and windier seasons of the year.

Wearing your hair down during the fall can be a struggle, you have to keep it in place and out of your lip gloss! A half up- half down style is great style to wear if you want to wear your hair down but out of your face, plus since there are a couple of clips in the back your hair will stay in place better. Instead of a half up-half down look you can even try twisting or braiding the front pieces and clipping them back with beautiful barrettes.

Lauren Conrad

Demi Lovato
Buns and ponytails are definitely the best choice if your worried about your hair flying out of place or becoming tangled. There are so many different type of buns and ponytails from topknots to ballerina buns and high ponytails to side ponytails. You can accessorizes buns and ponytails by adding sparkly bobby pins, flower clips, and more! If your daring enough you can even add bold color like Lauren Conrad and Demi Lovato.

DIY Nails: Just Bitten

I am so happy that I've gotten back into the groove of creating cool nail artwork. This nail look is inspired by vampires, blood, and the nails by Sally Hansen at Prabal Gurung. The look may be "eww" to some, but I actually love the "OMG my nails just got bit by a vampire" look.  This nail look can be done with all black nails are on bare nails. As you can see I did all bare nails except for my accent nail and my pointer finger. All you need is black polish, a cear base and top coat, red polish, a white nail striper , and a nail art brush/dotting tool.

  1. Begin with clean nails and coat them with a clear polish. Polish your ring finger black.
  2. Take your dotting tool and dip it into the red polish. Create dots on your nail at different points on the nail.
  3. Drag some of the polish from the dot to the tip of your nail.
  4. Take the nail art brush and paint the tip of your nail red and clean up the lines from the dot. Since the lines are supposed to imitate dripping blood, it's okay if the lines are a tad messy and not uniform.
  5. Take the white nail striper and draw two pointy triangles on your ring finger. Add 2 lines inbetween the open space of the triangles.
  6. Let your nails dry, then coat them with a clear top coat.
Let me know if this tutorial was helpful, if your tried out the nail look, or if you have any other DIY nail theme ideas! Check out my other Halloween nail look by clicking here. Rock this nail look for Halloween, a fall festival, or whenever since it is October.

Miranda Cosgrove
Miranda Cosgrove looks so cool in this trendy plaid, leather, and collared dress.I love that the entire look is pulled all together in one look complete with flirty peep toe heels and a blue smokey eye look. Plaid, leather, and especially collars are some of this year's top trends that can be worn in so many ways. Leather can be seen as leggings, pants, shorts, skirts, and even dresses. Plaid is a print that can mixed in with other prints and patterns depending on the primary colors and how busy the overall plaid print is. Collars are definitely big this fall, they look so amazing with embellishments like  studs and spikes. Miranda is totally fall ready, all she needs is a cute cardigan when it gets chilly.

What are your favorite fall trends?

Hair 101: Nina Dobrev Sleek Fishtail

Nina Dobrev
Nina Dobrev has totally turned the casual fishtail into a sleek and edgy style perfect for special events. I lpve that Nina wore the fishtail at the back of her head right on the nape of her neck which stands out amongst the trend of side hairdos. The do' also has slight volume at the top of her head a distinct middle part. All you need to recreate the look is a comb and/or brush, a ponytail holder, a rubber band, shine spray, and serum or edge control if needed.
  1. Begin by making a small middle part and lightly teasing the top of your hair.
  2. Use an edge control to smooth out edges if needed and/or a serum to make the hair slick and sleek.
  3. Pull the hair back into a ponytail at the nape of your neck.
  4. Begin fishtail braiding the hair in the ponytail. Click here to learn how to fishtail braid.
  5. Secure the end of the fishtail with a rubberband.
Add to the look by wearing a pair of statement earrings! You can even go all out like Nina Dobrev and create a smokey eye with a grey shadow and black liner. Let me know if you try out the look!

OOTD: Black, Brown, and Booties

Today I decided to go casual with a tiny bit of edge. I paired a brown and black striped crop top with denim skinny jeans with one of m favorite pairs of wedge booties. The top even has a drapey like fabric at the top that reminds of a scarf and complements my collar bone which I love. The overall look is comfortable, full of soft but strong colors, and makes me feel great and the height of the wedges help to make me feel even more on top of the world.

I had to do a cute leg pose to shoe off one of my favorite pairs of booties! These booties are so edgy and put me in a military, tough vibe. The straps, shoelaces, and grey/brown color allow the boots to go with just about anything! The height is high for some people's taste, but since it is a wedge they are much easier and comfortable to walk in.

For my accessories I paired my everyday Betsey Johnson watch with a couple small rings in gold and silver as well as my JLANI Jewels multilink bracelet/ring chain duo. The jewelry combo is so delicate and elegant that it makes it's own little statement and goes perfect with my outfit.

What I'm Loving: JLANI Jewels

I am currently loving and obsessed with JLANI Jewels and the pieces they sent me. JLANI Jewels is an amazing jewelry collection that has been worn by celebrities like Beyonce, Jay-Z, Rita Ora, Zoe Saldana, Dakota Fanning, and more. JLANI Jewels uses stainless steel which calls for little maintenance and a nice modern look. The fact that they use a recyclable metals for the jewelry is even better because the pieces are environmentally friendly. Keep on reading to check out the pieces.

The pieces were sent to me in this cute little baggie with a sleek and chic JLANI card. Even though the little black bag isn't a piece, it was perfect to use for storing a small amount of jewelry while traveling.
Here you can see me wearing the two-tone multi link chain as a bracelet/ring duo, the clover leaf key as a statement necklace, and the mini cross ring. Since I love to mix gold and silver colored jewelry I had to wear all my pieces at once. Each piece fits perfectly into an edgy, girly, quirky, or even a glam look.
The chain and mini cross ring look so simple, dainty, and elegant on my hand while still making a statement. The gold and silver contrast will pop against any skin tone and the draping of the chain across the hand is a flirty touch. The mini cross ring is so cute to me especially since it is dainty and one of my favorite symbols.

I'm not usually a hoop earring girl primarily because hoops are usually heavy and irritate my ears. However, these hoops were light on my ears and didn't make my head look extremely small is comparison to the side. The ability to wear hoop earrings without my ears getting irritated was a super plus for me. The statement key necklace is great for dressing up a plain tee or adding to a chic blouse.

Be sure to check out JLANI Jewels on their website to check out more of their pieces that fit your specific look or style! Don't forget to also look for them on Instagram and Twitter.

Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party

Teen Vogue recently hosted their 10th Young Hollywood party and I must say everyone was so fabulous! Below I am showing my favorite looks from the party, and the more I look at each look they all have one thing in common. They each have some type of waist definition wether it's drop waisted or a-line, either way the two make all of their figures look great! I would love to wear a beautiful outfit like these lovely ladies below, maybe one day you and I will be attending a Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party.
Hailee Steinfield

Hailee's dress is so simple and chic, yet makes a statement. The blue and black help to define her waist and create more oomph power than all black. And I can't forget about her gorgeous blue satin heels!
Zendaya Coleman

Zendaya looks a million feet tall in this metallic skirt. She is show stopping! The look is very pulled together and ultra chic while still looking young because of the bright metallic.
Jessica Lowndes

Jessica dress is a top fave of mine because of the unique pattern and girly girl shape. The shape gives her a bit of an hour glass figure and the little peice of sheer black gives off some edge to the entire look.

Kierna Shipka
I am totally in love with this quirky look! Her dress is so much fun because of the vibrant blue colors mixed with the cool print and collar up top. Since I am a pointed toe love, I am digging her shoes in the beautiful baby blue color.
