Fashion 101: Every Girl's Bra Dilemma

Every Girl's Bra Dilemma

Every Girl's Bra Dilemma by lyndseycamille
Shopping is probably at the top my list of favorite things to do on the weekend; however, bringing it home and styling can be a different story sometimes. For instance, spring is here and summer is coming, meaning shoulders will be out in an array of styles and cuts. So, what type of bra should we wear under these crazy cut tops? Well, I have a couple of bra style tips, just keep reading below:
  • Bralette (top left): Bralettes are the perfect bra to place underneath sheer tops, kimonos, and whenever you want to add a touch of lace to an outfit. Typically bras should not be shown underneath clothing, however a bralette resembles an even shorter version of a crop top while still supporting the girls!
  • Bandeau (bottom left): Similar to bralettes, bandeaus are perfect for keeping your "goods" covered without having to layer up with t-shirts and camisoles. Bandeaus are super cheap and can be found anywhere from department stores to Wal-Mart!
  • Strapless Bra (top right): Every girl should own at least one strap less bra! Strapless bras are perfect for just about any top: spaghetti straps, halter back etc. Strapless bras also come in varieties of their own such as plunging v-neck or addable straps!
  • T-Shirt Bra (bottom right): The t-shirt bra is essentially an everyday bra! Be sure to try the t-shirt style bra on in the store, and even get fitted if need be! A t-shirt bra should be comfortable and, particularly, in a color that can easily mix and match with an everyday wardrobe.
  • Razor-Back Bra (middle): With the warmer temps, tanks and camisoles are becoming an everyday essential! A razor-back bra will help to give you the needed support and won't necessarily play peek-a-boo with your top.
  • Adhesive Bra (bottom middle: Now for those special events that having an "oops" moment with a bra could be mortifying, an adhesive bra is perfect. Many times strapless dress and formal gowns with cut-outs or more revealing shapes still need a bra. However, it's always extremely hard to find the perfect bra style to pair it with! Adhesive bras can be found in almost any skin tone and bra size. Just adhere the sticky side of the bra to the breast and instantly have the feel and look of wearing a bra!

Back to School: Kickin' Into Fall

Back to School: Kickin' Into Fall

Back to School: Kickin' Into Fall by lyndseycamille featuring high heel shoes
Whenever back to school season comes back around, I love to get a pair of new shoes. However, I make sure not to purchase anymore summer shoes: sandals, flip flops, etc. Instead, I like to get a cute pair of shoes that will work for a lot of walking, match a majority of my outfits, and make me feel like I'm walking a catwalk. Below are descriptions of my favorite back to school shoe styles and why they work!
  1. Slip-ons! Slip-ons are a simple version of sneakers that mimic flats with a whole lot of comfort. Slip-ons come in a variety of prints and colors that will go with any outfit and fit into any style.
  2. Oxfords! Oxfords are my favorite shoe style! Oxfords now have a feminine take on menswear, especially because of the new prints, lace additions, and other features now being added to them. Also, your feet will thank you for the comfort.
  3. Booties! Booties are the perfect transition shoe as it gets closer to fall. Booties can work with shorts, dresses, and, of course, future fall and winter outfits.
  4. Wedges! Heels are fabulous, but don't always work for a school day. However, wedges, especially with rubber on the bottom, can work for a school. Wedges give height and add ultimate chicness to any look without taking away too much comfort.

Beauty 101: Summer Nail Polish Colors

Summer Nail Polish Colors

Summer nails are all about fun designs and color! Whether a girly look is desired or an edgy look, any style can be achieved.

  1. Blues and purples work for all seasons and style depending on the shade. Purple is the color of royalty and looks great on a variety of skin tones. Bluer shades are youthful and peaceful and, like purple, work with various skin tones.
  2. Pinks and reds are very classic summer colors. These colors look great with a more girly look, especially when paired with glitter and sparkly polishes. Pinks are great for an everyday look while red is even more perfect for a more classic and classy look.
  3. Nudes, white, and sparkly polishes are perfect for a simple manicure. These colors look amazing for a more formal look or a very clean nail look.

Beauty 101: Avoid a Spring Make-Up Meltdown

Make-Up Meltdown

Along with the warm temps of spring comes lots of pollen and allergies. Pollen and allergies mean a lot of watering eyes resulting in a make-up meltdown! However, transitioning your make-up for a simple, every day spring look is the easiest fix! Below are three tips and tricks on how to avoid a spring make-up meltdown.

  1. Instead of focusing on the eye make-up which will easily melt off, create a bold lip. A bold lip can pull together an entire beauty look and make it stand out. Since the temperatures are continuously warming up, be sure to use a lip balm to protect lips from getting sunburned before applying lipstick and lipgloss.
  2. Defined brows are just as bold as lipstick. Bold brows can frame your face giving off a fierce, clean, and fresh faced look. So, put down those tweezers, unless plucking stray hairs, and use shadow and eyebrow pencils to create a nice eyebrow shape.
  3. In order to still make your eyes pop, try a water-proof mascara paired with a smudgier eyeliner. Before applying mascara, use a eyelash curler to define the lashes and keep them out of eyes. Also, utilize a lighter foundation with sunscreen to protect skin.

Fashion 101: Take Home the Booties!

Take Home the Booties!
Booties are the cutest cold weather! They can even be worn throughout spring depending upon the fabric they're made of. Buckles, laces, and cutouts add so much character and style to an entire look! Plus, you can add colorful and printed socks for extra warmth and chicness. I love seeing booties style with rolled up jeans, tights and skirts, and of course with nice pair of socks. Whether you booties are flats, a high heel, or a lot of bedazzle, booties are definitely a great addition to anyone's shoe collection.

My Spring 2013 Wants

Spring Wishlist

Spring is one of my favorite seasons because of the bright colors, florals, and of course the warm weather. This spring patterns such as houndstooth and floral are going to be top trends as well flatforms, dainty accessories, bright lips, and so much more. However, on my own spring want list is just a couple things which include flatforms, cutout shoes, rings, a pretty spring dress, and to find a new everyday make-up look.
  • Flatforms! Flatforms are cute twist on wedge shoes and still add some height to your leg because of the consistent heel. However, I need flatforms with a bit of a curve so I will actually be able to walk in them since I have a deep arch in my feet.
  • Cutout Shoes! Cutouts look so good on dresses and tops, so why not try them out on shoes? I actually have gotten a pair of flat oxfords with cutout on the side that I cannot wait to wear when the weather warms up.
  • Rings! After a while rings start to rust and look cheap and dirty which is not a cute look to me. I really would like to invest in a couple of dainty as well as statement rings to add to my jewelry collection and keep my hands looking sparkly.
  • Pretty Spring Dress! I just love the look of a flirty neon dress for spring paired with a pair of flats and curly. You have to admit that a girly a-line dress is the epitome of spring.
  • New Make-Up Look! My biggest want is actually a new everyday natural make-up look which I can only achieve through experimenting. I am so tired of mascara and winged liner and feel that since I am young I should try something new every once in a while.
What are your Spring wants? Any ideas for a new everyday make-up look?
