Hair 101: The Haircut of the Winter

Lauren Conrad
Rihanna
Vanessa Hudgens

Lucy Hale
Lately, every celeb has had a case of "scissor fever". So many celebs have caught on to the "lob" trend. What is a lob you ask? Well, it's a combination of long + bob, a long bob. Usually bobs are cut above the shoulders, around the chin area. A lob, however, is cut at or just below the shoulders. This gives the hair room to still be pulled into a ponytail or bun, perfect for so many of us who still want versatility. And, as shown above, a lob can be transformed into so many looks. Keep it full with body like Lauren Conrad and Lucy Hale. Stay sleek and chic like Rihanna. Or, get bold with colored tips like Vanessa Hudgens. If you want a lob, just show your stylists one of these pics and be sure to specify the desired length of your lob.

Style 101: The Crop Top Set

Lucy Hale
Beyonce
Cher Lloyd
Zoe Saldana
I'm sure everyone knows about the midriff baring crop top these days, but what's even newer is the crop top set. A crop top set is a crop top with a matching skirt, shorts, or pants. This new look has be seen on the red carpet to everyday street style, from Beyonce to Zoe Saldana. A crop top set also helps to dictate just how much midriff needs to be shown depending upon how high the bottoms are pulled up. The crop top set can be dressed up or dressed down, all by the power of the set's styling, print, fabric, and more. Pick up some tips on how to rock a crop top set with the photos above.

Fashion 101: Breezy Bohemian

The bohemian style is a gorgeous look filled with florals, fringe, flowiness, and earthy tones. As the weather warms up it just makes sense to wear flowier outfits to let your body breath while still looking chic. Below are a few of my favorite boho styles and how to style your own boho looks.
Selena Gomez
Selena's floral flowy dress screams boho and can be dressed up or dressed down. The wedges dress the look up while still keeping with the boho theme because of the cork wedge. The fringe bag also gives off boho and can be worn across the body or on one shoulder. The belt helps to keep your waist and prevents the dress from overpowering your body.
Bella Thorne
It can be argued that this look is more "hipster" than boho, but the crotchet top and flower headband definitely make the look boho. The earthy tone of the top and crotchet top keep it looking simple but chic while the headband adds fun interest to the look. Also, the hair pieces also adds a lot of fun to the look without permanent change.
Lucy Hale
Maxi skirts are so boho and are becoming so popular with their many styles that they work for just about anybody. Maxi skirts allow lots of breathing room for the body and can be paired with simple tops or fancy tops and flats or heels. It doesn't even matter your height anymore as long as you know the right shoes and accessories to pair with your maxi skirt.

Hair 101: Day to Night Side Swept Hair

Lucy Hale Hair
Lucy Hale

Lucy Hale

I love the side swept hair look! It works for both night and day, long and medium hair, and just about any hair type. Lucy Hale is always working this side swept hair look whether she has super long hair, spiral curls, or everyday waves. All you need to get the look is a brush or comb, lots of bobby pins, a smoothing gel or cream, and a curling iron or flat iron.
  1. Start by detangling and brushing through your hair. Be sure to get your hair very soft and luxurious to make the most of this look.
  2. Pick a side to part your hair on and begin to brush it to the side. Apply a smoothing/holding cream or gel to make sure your hair stays to the side.
  3. Add bobby pins underneath the bulk of the hair and anywhere else if needed. Be sure the bobby pins match your hair color.
  4. For the glamorous night look, take the curling iron and add nice spiral curls to your hair. If your going for a day look add soft waves or use your flat iron and go for a straight look.
  5. Add some hairspray to make sure your hair holds or add some fab hair accessories.

Teen Choice Awards 2012 Fashion

The Teen Choice Awards 2012  appeared Sunday and the celebs looked amazing! The majority of dresses were super girly and a-line while some ladies went for edgy looks and even separates. Keep on reading to see some of my favorite looks!
Lucy Hale

Selena Gomez

Lucy Hale and Selena Gomez both rocked the feminine girly looks in bright colors and a-line styles. The neckline in Lucy Hale's dress is super flirty as well as her flowing sude braid. The bright pink against Selena's skin keeps her glowing and the minimal accessories makes her hair and make-up stand out even more.
Kat Graham
As you may have figured out Kat Graham is one of my top style crushes! I love her mix of edgy, girly, and quirky in this look. The pattern of her dress keeps you interested while the necklace adds a touch of shine. Kat knows to keep her hair and makeup simple since her outfit is doing all the wonderful talking!

Kristen Stewart
Nina Dobrev
Kristen Stewart and Nina Dobrev kept it edgy and chic. Kristen wore separates include a crisp blazer and leather pants although her hair caught my attention. I love the waves and the slick side with braids. Nina 's dress was totally cool because of the asymmetrical lines and slit.  Nina's silver shoes and two hair twists kept the look soft and not too harsh.
Chelsea Kane
Chelsea Kane's outfit was a total love for me! She was definitely summertime fine and made the soft pastel colors stand out. Chelsea's hair also made my eyes go all over her because althoug it soft it simple, it is also very versatile and chic. Chelsea Kane is getting a lot of style cred lately!
Jackson Rathbone
Last but not least I had to add Jackson Rathbone! Although I normally don't feature guy fashion (I'm not the best at it) I fell in love with Jackson's outfit. His look is so crisp and clean while still having a cool edge. The bracelets, slighty unbuttoned shirt, and dark wash jeans is the perfect combo! Take some notes fellas!
