Beauty 101: Fall 2014 Nude Nail Trend

Fall 2014 Nude Nail Trend

Fall 2014 Nude Nail Trend by lyndseycamille featuring a nude nail color
I am a self-proclaimed manicure maven! My dresser is full of nail polish, from glitter polishes to bright neon polishes. An entire dresser drawer is home to nail design brushes and manicure kits. However, I won't be needing an abundance of color this Fall 2014 season. Throughout the summer, I became extremely bored within a repetition of bright pink, poppy coral, and classic red nail polish colors. So, I traded in bright colors for nude polishes. I found that the nude polishes complemented my accessories and made my fingers appear more elegant and lady-like. Now, two months later, who would've thought nude nails would become the Fall 2014 trend?! A nude nail look is all based upon your skin tone, a deep-toned lady may want to go for a more chocolate, rich nail color, a bronze-y girl for a soft tan polish, and a fairer skin girl for a creamy or pink-toned polish. Nude polishes are perfect because chips aren't as noticeable and can easily be dressed up with a coat of glitter polish.

Fashion 101: Girly Girl Fun

The girly girl look is super fun and especially perfect for the spring and summer. The bright colors, heels, skirt, and occurs the tons of accessories make the girly girl style so great to play around with! Some of my favorite girly girl styles come from celebs like Ariana Gomez, Taylor Swift, and brands like Forever 21. Below are some of my favorite girly girl looks and how you can incorporate them in your wardrobe.
Bella Thorne
This suit is perfect for a classy, chic, girly look that will still keep you looking young and feminine. The nude/ off white color of the suit gives the suit a bit of a different look and helps the silver heels to pop. The clutch always makes a look really chic but the color patterns keep with the girly girl look along with the showing off of the collar bone because of the sweetheart top.
Zendaya
A-line skirts have always been a girly style, but paired with the pastel pink and blue tie dye. The sparkle collar adds a bit of casual glamour to the look while the sky heels complete with the straps are super flirty. Not only does the outfit go with the girly look, but Zendaya's wavy hair is romantic and her pink glossy looks add subtle sweetness.
Taylor Swift Clothes
Taylor Swift
This girly look is perfect for dances and fancy dates because of the flowiness and the cutouts. The cutouts add flirtiness, youthfulness, and fun without going overboard. The pumps are definitely a nod to the most girliest girl of them all, Barbie, and makes the look super cute!

My Top Three Academy Award Gowns

The Oscars 2013 red carpet gowns were a dose of perfections and kept me watching, almost, the entire show. Nude dresses, black and white combos, and of course an occasional hint of color graced the carpet this year's red carpet. However, Amanda Seyfried, Anne Hathaway, and Kelly Rowland topped my personal fave charts and have me dying for a gorgeous gown that I have nowhere to wear it to.
Amanda Seyfried
I've always had a thing for haltered dresses and the way they fit perfectly against the curves of your back and chest. Amanda looks so simple and elegant in this gown and love how it gradually becomes flowy at the bottom with a lovely train. The intricate golden detail keeps the dress from washing her out while the small cut out keeps the dress from covering her up too much. Gorgeous!
Anne Hathaway
At first I wasn't sure if I did or did not like Anne's gown, but after a minute I realized how amazing the simplicity of the look is. Her hair is very casual and looks so great now that it has grown out into a more natural shag with a cool swept bang. Her accessories complement the dress and give the right amount of bling while the dress shows off her body without clinging to it. Once again, Anne Hathaway is a fashion fave!
Kelly Rowland
Last, but not least, is Miss Kelly Rowland in a mermaid style black and white strapless gown. I absolutely love the leg action and how the dress is showing off Kelly's amazing figure. The black and white contrast is like having color because of the pop the combo gives one another. Her hair shows off her face in a sophisticated bun with banging bangs!
*Big congrats to one of my favorite actresses, Jennifer Lawrence, for winning an Oscar!!!*

Get The Look: Sparkly Nude

Megan Fox

A sparkly nude make-up look is extremely gorgeous and enhances your natural features. The sparkles help to illuminate your features and give a goddess-like look. Megan Fox definitely wears the beauty look well and it can even be a daytime look if the falsies were taken away. All you need to recreate the look is a dewy foundation, nude lipstick and gloss, broner, a light shimmer shadow as well as a light brown shimmer shadow and black mascara and liner.
  1. Begin with a clean face and apply concealer to any needed areas. Apply foundation as well to even out your skintone.
  2. Take your bronzer, make the "fishy face", and apply within the hollows your face makes to a little bit above your temples. Brush a small amount of bronzer along the top of your nose and chin. Don't go overboard and remember to blend!
  3. Prime your eyelids with primer. Use your light shimmer shadow on your lid up to the crease as well as on your inner corner.
  4. Take your light brown shimmer shadow and brush it into your crease and fade it out to your brow bone. Blend it out on the brow bone with the light shimmer shadow.
  5. Use your liner to create a thick line on the outside of your lash line. Coat your lashes with 2-3 coats of mascara. Add false lashes for a more dramatic look.
  6. Fill in your brows with a shadow or pencil by using light strokes for a more defined look.
  7. Take your nude lipstick and apply it to your lips. Add lipgloss on top for a shimmery look.
  8. Use a powder to eliminate too much shine.
If your suffer from fall out, put tape or a napkin under your eyes to catch the falling shadow! Remember practice makes perfect and to be patient when trying out new make-up looks. Try changing some steps to make it your own. Rock the look by day with less eyeliner and mascara and by night with dramatic falsies. Rock it out!
