Get The Look: One Side Hair

Rhianna
Cassie Ventura
I don't know about you, but I think Rhianna and Cassie's one side shave is so cool, specially since the other side has such long, luxurious hair. No matter how much I like their hairstyles, I could never put a razors to my hair. Not going to happen, ever! But since I don't want any commitment to this hairstyle, I have found a trick to getting this look by using gel, a brush and comb, and bobby pins or clips.
  1. Begin with hair that is not too clean, you need a little bit of greasiness in your hair for the style to work.
  2. Part your hair in the size that you want your "shaved" section to be and gather the remaining hair into the ponytail holder.
  3. Brush down the loose hair and you can either put tight braids to make the hair lie down or just slick everything back with gel.
  4. Pull the braids or slick hair down and back and secure it with lots of clips and bobby pins that match your hair color.
  5. Release the section of hair from  Step 2 and blend the hair and add volume at the top to contrast it from the "shaved" section.
You can wear this look with waves, curls, or pin straight on the other side, whatever suits you. This look is perfect for girls like me who are not ready to take the risk of a razor!

Get The Look: Rhianna's Sultry Eyes

Rhianna
I am so in love with Rhianna's make-up and it is so easy to recreate. Her heavy use of liner and a faint brown smokey makes her beauty look irresistible. All you need to get the look is black pencil liner, a set of brown eyeshadows, bronzer, foundation, and a peachy lipgloss.

  1. Begin with a clean face and use a concealer to cover any blemishes. Put on your foundation as well.
  2. For the cheeks put on a little bronze and softly contour fromt he apples of the cheek up to the temples. Be sure to blend so there are no harsh lines.
  3. Prime your lids and begin by putting a light brown color on your lid right until you reach the crease.
  4. Take a medium brown shadow and brush it right into your cheek and up to thr edge of your browbone. Be sure to blend.
  5. Take a very light shadow with a bit of shimmer and use it as your highlight by putting it right on your browbone. Be sure to blend.
  6. Take you eyeliner pencil and line your waterliner as well as a small line on your lash line.
  7. Take your line and line your tightline and smudge it so that some liner is right along the lower lashline.
  8. Coat the top and bottom lashes with dark black mascara.
  9. Add a peachy lipgloss with lots of pigment to your lips to put just a soft dash of color into your look.
  10. Remember to comb your eyebrows or fill them in with a shadow of the same color  as your brows.

Remember practice makes perfect and to be patient when trying out a new beauty look. Rock this look to make your eyes look extra alluring! Be ready for tons of compliments chica!

Is there a new trend coming in for 2012? Rihanna is turning heads as she brings back 90s and 80s style on the stage and the streets. She has been spotted wearing baggy and grunge jeans along with rock tees and lots of striped sweaters. Keeping up with her 90s/80s grunge phase, Rihanna is even rocking the trend on the red carpet by pairing plain tops with leather pants and cool jackets. She's even been accessorizing with cool hats and unique head turner shades. Try out this new trend chicas and bring back 90s and 80s style. Not ready to give this trend full commitment, try starting off with a worn jean jacket, very 90s, or studded and bright jewelry that brungs back 80s style.
