School supply shopping is one of my favorite back to school activities, besides clothes shopping. School supplies are meant to last you at all year or at least one semester which means it needs to fit your style! My favorite back to school supply essentials include pencil cases, a backpack, folders, and a cute planner. Pencil cases come in so many different shapes, styles, and colors while backpacks come in a variety or prints and colors that can match your style perfectly. Folders are my favorite because you can store all types of papers and information. Planners are the best supply that work for more than just back to school because you can keep everything up to date!
Fashion is art, art is expression, and expression is life. I love fashion, music and trying new things just to say I did. I'm a very random person and would rather look at life through the "wrong" end of the telescope. I am also very girly but I have other dimensions that my personality showcases. Through my blog I just want to show everything I love and catches my eye. I'll also post quotes and people I find inspiring. Stay beautiful :)

DIY Nails: Gel Nails Review
Gel nails have become a favorite of mine when I want my nails to look nice, shiny, and colorful! Gel nails stay on your nails for at least 2 weeks on your nails with no chips or nicks and lots of shine. Of course you can get gel nails done at the nail salon or buy the strips in a package, but it's much easier and less expensive when you buy your own at home kit.
What do you use? The kit I use is by Gelish and it includes nail surface cleanser, foundation, pH bond, and Top It Off. I also use the Gelish LED light.
How much does it cost? The kit cost about $50 while the LED light is around $60, however you can use regular lights. Although an at home Gel Nail kit may seem pricey, it is worth it if you want to stop spending money at the nail salon or using up regular nail polish every time your nail chips.
How long does it take? It takes about 15-20 minutes to complete my toenails because you are able to keep going even when one side is underneath the light. It takes about 30 minutes to complete my fingernails since have to stop between hands when one is underneath the light.
How long does it last? At least 2 weeks!
How many nail lacquers are available? Gelish has a wide variety of nail polish colors from nude to neon to sparkly. You can even mix colors and create french tips!
Can you make nail designs? I have never tried to make designs with Gelish nail polish, but I do create designs with regular polish on top of the Gelish.
How do it come off? You soak the nail in Acetone based nail polish. However, after so many weeks the polish will start to peel off on its own.

Back 2 School: Hailee Steinfeld
Get a chic, simple, and quick back to school outfit with inspiration from Hailee Steinfeld at Comic Con. I love how she pair a button up wtih a highwaisted pant and flat loafer style shoes. Since school is more casual than Comic Con, I would suggest pairing a white top, or stick with a button down, and pair it with a higher waisted pair of jeans. For shoes, try a oair of loafers that can go with anything and a pop of color on your lips to make your look pop.

Style Crushing: Vanessa Hudgen's White Out
Vanessa Hudgen's style has always been a love of mine, but the new boho glam looks she's been wearing lately make it me love it even more. The all white look is fabulous in the summertime because it shows off the glow and tan on your skin while also looking fresh and clean. The peep of midriff keeps the look young and sexy since so much of the body is covered up in fabric. Also, although I am style crushing over Vanessa's two looks, I am also hair crushing because big buns and loose waves are always chic and help to complete a look. Lastly, the two all white looks require little to no accessories because the hair and color do so much for the overall look already. It's simply chic and fabulous!
What are you style crushing over?

Fashion 101: Platform Sneakers!
I've been really into patterned, pprinted, and quirky sneakers lately, but something new I've noticed is the height on sneakers is slowly increasing. Yes, I know many sneakers are coming in wedge form, but what about platform style? This new style of sneakers are super cool and take your shoe game up to a new level. Although I don't own a pair (my feet are wayyy too arched to walk in these!), I can see these shoes working with cute sundresses, circle skirts, shorts, and even everyday jeans. You can have some extra height added to your look as well as style!
Would you wear platform sneakers?

Back 2 School: Selena Gomez Inspired Beauty
Selena Gomez |
Sometimes it's hard to create an extravagant beauty look for school since you have to wake up at the crack of dawn and be there for hours on end. However there is time to accentuate your features and create a cute hairstyle that will have you turning heads all day long. Selena Gomez always keeps her makeup simple, but pretty which makes her perfect inspiration for a back to school beauty look. All you need to recreate the makeup look is liquid eyeliner, mascara, rosy blush, lipgloss, and a neutral eyeshadow. For the hair, all you need are bobby pins, a brush, and a ponytail holder.
Makeup:
- Start off with a clean face and apply foundation, BB Cream, and/or concealer as needed.
- Sweep a neutral shadow across your lids up to your crease for a light wash of color.
- Apply liquid liner close the lash line ending with a slight wing. Make the line as thick or thin as you would like.
- Apply 2-3 coats of mascara on your top and bottom lashes.
- Take your blush and apply it to the apples of your cheeks and fade it out to your temples.
- Apply lipgloss to your lips.
Hair:
- Brush the tangles out of your hair and create a side part.
- Brush your hair to one side and divide it into two sections.
- Tightly twist the two sections together and secure them with a ponytail holder.
- Lightly tug the twist as well as your bang to make the hair looser and more casual.

Back 2 School: Fun Backpacks
It's that time of year again where we're all preparing for school. My favorite part is picking out a new backpack to rock the hallways for the year. Backpacks need to be convenient because school is for learning, but they can also be super cute! Find backpacks with a print, design, or even a little fringe that you love and don't worry about if it clashes with your everyday outfits because it really doesn't matter. Also, if you're not looking for a new backpack this year but still want to spice your old bag up, just use buttons, stickers, and keychains to add extra details.

Trend 101: Rockin' the Overalls
Ashley Madekwe |
Rihanna |
Vanessa Hudgens |
Overalls aren't for little kids anymore! This 90's fad is back and better than ever, especially if you pair them with the right accessories and shoes. So many celebs and bloggers have been spotted rocking this new trend which means that there are so many basic how to's for wearing overalls and looking good. Keep on reading below for tips on rocking the overalls trend.
- Wear a fitted top underneath. Overalls already have a baggy feel to them so you don't want to lose all of your shape.
- Don't be afraid to pair heels with your overalls. Go for a simple heel to keep your look chic while letting your overalls be the spotlight of your outfit.
- Accessorize in pieces that fit your personal style so you can make this trend your own.
- Remember, many overalls are just denim! Anything goes with denim so experiment, experiment, experiment.
- Try out the different styles of overalls. Overalls come in different prints, patterns, and lengths so you have lots of options.
Will you be trying out the overall trend?

Hair 101: Girly, Messy, Chic!
Rihanna |
I love this super girly, yet messy and casual, updo! The curls are flirty and a cute bow accent will make it even more adorable which makes the look perfect for a date or a casual day out. All you need to recreate the look is a curling iron or wand, a hair tie, bobby pins, and a hair scarf. Recreate the look with these easy steps down below:
- Begin by curling all your hair into loose ringlets. It does not have the be perfect.
- Section off the hair in front so that it will frame your face.
- Take the hair left in the back and pull it up into a high ponytail. Make sure the ponytail is not pulled too tight.
- Use the bobby pins to help keep your hair in place and put the curls exactly where you want them.
- Take a cute hair scarf and wrap it into a bow right in-between the ponytail and bang.
Now you have a cute messy updo that's great for getting the hair off your face for the summer while still being able to look chic. Let me know in the comments below how the style works for you.

Get the Look: Fourth of July Fashion!
Fourth of July is all about being patriotic which means it's time to pull out all your red , white, and blue! Of course it is still hot so it's important to dress for the season and the event you will be attending. You can go super casual with a pair of blue jean shorts paired with a red crop top or American flag tank. If the event is on the formal side, try wearing a blue or red striped dress with a pair of cute flats. If you want to look like a fashionista, try pairing a blazer over a graphic tee with high waisted shorts and sneakers all in red, white, and blue. Don't forget that you can also use accessories such as nail polish, purses, and sunglasses to dress up for the 4th of July.
How do you you show off your patriotic side?
