OOTD: Printed Coolness, Casual Chicness

I can't believe I finally found the perfect pair of printed jogger pants! These jogger pants are the most comfortable bottoms I have ever worn that make me look and feel great. I paired my new jogger pants with a tucked in simple black tank, black cork wedges, and my favorite key necklace. I also added my free spirit bracelet, signature owl watch, and a couple small rings. This look screams causal sophistication making it a nice summer day and night, look. Also, my hair is twisted into Senegalese twists while my make-up is kept minimal to add a cool, effortless vibe.

Fashion 101: Valentine's Day Fashion

AnnaSophia Robb
All that glitters can be gold! You don't have to put on a dress or skirt to give off that Valentine's Day look. AnnaSophia Robb's sparkly gold blazer and gold metallic heels give this casual jean and top look major chicness. This look is super comfortable, yet pulled together. It can go from dinner to a movie or a simple walk, as long as we switch those heels to flats!
Bella Thorne
For the more casual date or a night out with friends, just keep it simple! However, it nice to keep with the theme of Valentine's Day and dress in girly pinks and romantic reds. Bella Thorne stays warm in cute in a fuzzy pink sweater and velvet skinny jeans paired with heels and pop of clutch cross body bag.
Kiernan Shipka
Now, for the fancy dinners and parties, you have to dress up! I love Kiernan's structured look mixed with the beautiful prints. The structure of the skirt is unique making a definite show stopper while the print is interesting, yet feminine.

What is you Valentine's Day look?

Style Crushing: Vanessa Hudgen's White Out

Vanessa Hudgen's style has always been a love of mine, but the new boho glam looks she's been wearing lately make it me love it even more. The all white look is fabulous in the summertime because it shows off the glow and tan on your skin while also looking fresh and clean. The peep of midriff keeps the look young and sexy since so much of the body is covered up in fabric. Also, although I am style crushing over Vanessa's two looks, I am also hair crushing because big buns and loose waves are always chic and help to complete a look. Lastly, the two all white looks require little to no accessories because the hair and color do so much for the overall look already. It's simply chic and fabulous!
What are you style crushing over?

Hair Obsession: AnnaSophia Robb

AnaSophia Robb
AnnaSophia Robb
I am obsessed with AnnaSophia Robb's blunt bob hair cut. The cut has such edgy and chicness to it while still being able to transform into so many looks. AnnaSophia's bob is a little bit longer than a traditional blog which makes it easier to curl, wave, clip, and even pull up into a small bun. The versatility of her hair makes me obsess over it and even have a moment of wanting to cut my hair to match the look.
What is you hair obsession?

Fashion 101: A Shay Mitchell Valentine

Shay Mitchell always looks so cute, girly, and fashionable which is absolutely perfect for Valentine's Day. Whether you have a Valentine, are going on a day, or just kicking it solo, it's still good to be in the spirit of the holiday. Throw a cute dress, skirt, or at least wear a pop of red or pink. Below I have examples of a perfect casual and dressed up Valentine's Day look that will look absolutely amazing for the heart day and may already be in your closet.

Shay Mitchell
A skirt always looks super cute and with a pink top it will be super casual, but still dressed for the holiday. Don't forget to add some curls or waves in your hair. If you really not feeling a skirt, try a skinny jeans that will show off the shape of your legs which is definitely a girly vibe. A pink or red top is a necessity with the look if you're planning on staying Valentine's Day appropriate.
Shay Mitchell
Okay so I haven't had my first date yet, but if I did I would definitely wear Shay Mitchell's outfit in the photo above. A bright dress makes you stand out and shine while the leather jacket and booties keeps a little bit of edge and warmth. The side swept hair also frames our face and gives you room for a nice spritz of fragrance.
What are your Valentine's Day plans?

Love Her Style: Joan Smalls

Joan Smalls has one of the most amazing street styles that I love to love. Joan's style consists of simple pieces mixed with print, natural make-up, and killer heels. The simple tees paired with daring printed pants and the occasional printed shirts show her subtle fashion risks that are the perfect amount of "fashion". Check out some of my favorite street style looks from Joan Smalls and how you can recreate them.

Joan's outfit is so chic and preppy in this look. The plaid trousers give off a business look because of their fit while still being preppy and classic because of the plaid print. The black top keeps you covered and warm for the weather while still letting the pants stand out.

This look is so edgy and daring without having too many pieces. The basic white tee is the ultimate staple in everyone's wardrobe because it works with any outfit, style and occasion. Her skinny jeans are all over studded with a bold zipper, plus it shows a tiny bit of skin for a touch of sexiness. The heels add the height and oomph to the look while her flowing hair and natural make-up keep her casual and everyday.

Your prints don't always have to be on the bottom half. I love this over-sized top paired with dark dressy denim. The look is a more dressed version of a casual everyday look which is great for family events, dates, and going out. Her shoes go great with the accents of her shirt and they are also very durable and comfy for walking throughout the day.

OOTD: Christmas Day

It may be a little late to say Merry Christmas, but it's still the holiday season! Christmas for me is all about spending time with the family in a more casual environment, no cocktail dresses necessary. However, I still love to dress up which explains my sequin flats, red leather pants, sparkly sweater combo. My overall look makes me feel edgy, glam, and super sparkly while still being comfortable and not over the top. My sweater is actually cropped, but it is way too cold to be showing off my stomach so I put a black cami underneath and let the sparkly neck stand out. The red leather pants are super comfy and even have a light shimmer to them which allows them to work for both casual and dressy occasions. The flats are actually one of my Christmas gifts that I couldn't resist wearing to give my outfit some extra color and glam. Last but not least I piled on the rings along with my gold Betsey Johnson watch and two beautiful bracelets from my mom and sister.

What are you wearing for the holidays?

*The holiday season has been keeping me busy and tired, however I will slowly be getting back on my regular posting schedule :).

Love Her Style: Khloe Kardashian Odom

Ever since Khloe Kardashian Odom has been hosting X Factor USA, I have fallen more and more in love with her style. Of course I must thank Khloe's stylist Monica Rose for the amazing outfits, but Khloe's own beauty, confidence, and looks make me fall hard for her style. Below I've picked four of my favorite looks from Khloe on the X Factor, I cannot wait to start checking her street style!
Short and shiny can often be mistaken for being a bit unlady like, but Khloe is working it just fine. The diva look works with simple shoes like Khloe's nude heels that lengthen her legs and the hem of the dressing ending a good ways down from your "no-no square". Don't forget to also try the voluminous, wavy hair for a sultry beauty look.
Leather is a must this winter, it's warm, chic, and can work with any style. I Khloe's unique version of a leather mini, the pleats give a classic look while the leather keeps the look edgy and chic. The white top allows the skirt to shine and not overpower the look while the bright pink heels give a pop of color to the black and white look. Khloe's beauty look matches the classic feel in the half-up, half-down look, but it is updated with the mature curls and looser hold on the ponytail.

This outfit adds curves and is totally chic. The black skirt paired with the golden belt is a staple piece for any girl, but the difference between this skirt is the addition of the small detail buttons that do so much for this look. The top also adds intricate detail in the top gives the look a great visual appeal and even brings out the details of her strappy shoes. Even Khloe's make-up look matches her outfit, but it definitely does not crash.
I am in love with this lace green dress and not just because I have a similar dress in black hanging in my closet! The lace dress is modern because of its short length and peek-a-boo sleeves while still being conservative by not showing of f the goods in the middle. I love that she is reusing the belt to style another look and sporting those amazing booties! Khloe's updo allows her to show off her face as well the dress.

OOTD: Blue Striped Bows

The fall and winter season always seems to make peoples wardrobes 50 shades darker, but not mine. I love adding color, graphics, and patterns to my look all year round no matter the season! For this outfit I decided to you all three of my favorite things, as you can see I used the color in my jeans and the patterns and graphic in my shirt. The blue pants work fot the season because they aren't extremely bright which gives a more understated look. The top also helps to tone down the top and give persoanlity, uniqueness to the look, and overall more fun! The black combat boots are just my go to pair of shoes, they always make me feel edgy and are comfty for my feet. I didn't add too many accesssories because I didn't want anything taking away from my clothes and I kept my hair in a high messy bun.

Why You Should Carry A Satchel Bag

Emmy Rossum
Satchel and cross body bags are my favorite types of bags to carry around. Satchel and cross body bags are so simple, don't take away from your outfit, and prevent me from bringing too many items that are so unnecessary. I am always throwing random things into my purse whether it's lipgloss, keychains, pens, pencils, makeup, and more lipgloss! A satchel or cross body bag is a definite essential for an on the go fashionista so keep on reading to find out why.
  •  A satchel or cross body bags makes you think twice before throwing just anything into your bag, no one wants to carry around a bulging bag.
  • Satchel and cross body bags not only hold your essentials, but they also will not weigh you down as other purses will since the bag is strapped across your body.
  • A cross body is most likely going to be adjustable so no matter how tall you are you can make the body proportion to your height.
  • School, work, and special occasions don't require too many extra items except for a couple make-up products, pens, and pencils so a satchel bag is perfect.
  • A satchel or cross body bag works for day, night, and any occasions become they come in a wide variety of colors and styles. Plus some cross body bags can double as an oversized clutch!
What kind of bag are you carrying?

Trend Alert: Dark Reds and Oxblood

Deep reds and the latest color trend, oxblood, are this fall and winter. Deep reds and oxblood add a dark and dramatic pop of color to your look, but the colors can also be used as a neutral in your wardrobe. The colors represent the new color scheme of the season and allow you to step outside of the black, brown, and grey color rotation. Keep on reading to find out how to incorporate the colors in your everyday look.
Prince William and Kate Middleton
Kate Middleton always gets it right when it comes to style! Kate is wearing an oxblood colored 2 piece. The color works for sophisticated and classy looks, plus it still looks nice when paired with black tights to keep your legs warm.
Irina Shayk
These oxblood colored leather pants are so chic and super slimming. Since the pants are in a leather style it already screams edge and the color helps to give it extra style cred compared to regular black leather pants. Also, I absolutely love that the color works perfectly with simple colors such as black and grey so that you don't have to think too much about what top to pair the pants with.
Fergie
I am usually totally against wearing an outfit all in one color, but Fergie looks amazing in this all red look. The dark red leather pants fit her perfectly and her grey studded booties make a great contrast colors while adding height. The shirt works because of its change in texture and the help of the patterned throw over. All together this look is an A+ in my books.

Get The Look: Dark Fall Drama

So I'm guessing you may have seen or at least heard about the latest fall beauty trends for 2012. Dark, rich lips, bold brows, and played up neutral shadows are all the rage this fall. Fall is definitely the season for all the brunettes and dark haired mavens out there! Demi Lovato and Cher Lloyd are both embodying fall's beauty trend and all you need to recreate their look is mascara and liner, brown/neutral colored shadows, foundation, concealer, and lashes (optional).
  1. Start with a clean face and apply concealer as needed. Add a light foundation or tinted moisturizer as well.
  2. Take an eyebrow pencil or an angled eyeshadow brush for a more natural look in a color slightly darker than your hair and fill in your brows. Use light short strokes to carefully define your eyebrows and gradually make them as bold as you would like.
  3.  Take a deep brown shadow and brush it along your lower lid. Blend out the brown to your crease with a medium shade brown with a hint of shimmer and a light color for your brow bone. You an go smokier and deeper with the shadows for more of a nighttime look.
  4. Since the look is all about the eyes and the lips add black liner to your lower and upper lash line as well as 2-3 coats of mascara. False lashes will make your eyes pop and are great to experiment with.
  5. Apply your lipstick directly to your lips, you may need a liner to stay inside your lip line or you can always use concealer. If your looking for a perfect line or want to change up your lip shape, use concealer to make your lips match your skin tone and "re-draw" the lines.
Now you have a dramatic fall perfect beauty look. If your really wanting to go all out you can even use a bronzer and define you cheekbones, but fo rht e daytime I would stick to the original 5 steps. Let me know if you try out the look, be sure to rock it!

OOTD: Blue, Black, Camo

I have been rocking these camo skinny jeans for 2 years now, so it is definitely time to make a new outfit with them. Instead of pairing the jeans with a black crop top, white tee, or tan sweater, I thought I would add a pop of color. I immediately thought of my blue top, it goes with the edgy look perfectly because of the sheer black sleeves, the sharp angled bottom cut, and the buttons. I decided to wear my wedge army booties to give me some height since the shirt is long and could start to look too drapey if I were to have worn flats.
My silver hoop earrings, black rubber bracelet, and an assortment of rings were the perfect accessories for my outfit. I went with black mascara and a little bit of a winged liner look for my make-up, nothing too extreme since the weather is so humid these days. As for my hair, it was really curly and big from being in a braid out so I pinned the top part backwards and fluffed out the back of my hair.

This look is perfect for everyday wear and all you need is a leather jacket to throw on in case it gets cold.

Hair 101: Nina Dobrev Sleek Fishtail

Nina Dobrev
Nina Dobrev has totally turned the casual fishtail into a sleek and edgy style perfect for special events. I lpve that Nina wore the fishtail at the back of her head right on the nape of her neck which stands out amongst the trend of side hairdos. The do' also has slight volume at the top of her head a distinct middle part. All you need to recreate the look is a comb and/or brush, a ponytail holder, a rubber band, shine spray, and serum or edge control if needed.
  1. Begin by making a small middle part and lightly teasing the top of your hair.
  2. Use an edge control to smooth out edges if needed and/or a serum to make the hair slick and sleek.
  3. Pull the hair back into a ponytail at the nape of your neck.
  4. Begin fishtail braiding the hair in the ponytail. Click here to learn how to fishtail braid.
  5. Secure the end of the fishtail with a rubberband.
Add to the look by wearing a pair of statement earrings! You can even go all out like Nina Dobrev and create a smokey eye with a grey shadow and black liner. Let me know if you try out the look!

OOTD: Topknot and Flowers

I am so in love with my H&M dress! The dress gives me a girly and edgy feel all in one, plus it makes my legs look great! The dress is an all over colorful floral pattern with hints of black that stand out. This dress is a tad too short for me to wear to school, but it is perfect for any day when you just want to wear a dress.
The dress gives me a bit of an hourglass shape because it is a-line and has very precise seam lines. It also has a body-con type feel because it hugs my body very snug. The only issue is that you need to wear smooth undergarments because they will show through the dress and visible panty lines aren't cool!
I stayed very simple with my accessories because of the busy pattern of my dress so I only wore a very small pair of green earrings, three small rings, and my everyday gold watch. I also wore a black pair of wedge booties that I have fallen in love with, but you can take the look grungey with combat boots. I decided since I really wanted to show of my dress to throw my hair up into a high topknot and no make-up.

*Just to let you guys know, my dress is from H&M for $17.95 and my shoes are from Rack Room Shoes for around $30.00.*

Fashion 101: Mixing Colors

Jessica Alba is always mixing colors in her outfit whether it's summer or winter. Jessica knows exactly how to mix colors without looking like a holiday theme or a melted crayon box. The question is, how does she mix colors so perfectly?
Actress Jessica Alba was a throwback to the 90s as she sported denim on top with some retro colors while out for lunch with a friend in Beverly Hills, California on May 22, 2012.
Jessica Alba
If your going in a pasteln or cotton candy color theme, stay with it! Sine the pink and blue are both soft and pastel they work perfectly together even though they are not the same. The silver glitter shoes, the denim, jacket, and scarf are all neutral or very basic colors so they don't affect the overall outfit. Her bag and glasses go with the look because the colos match with her shirt and pants. By the way, her ponytail adds a lot of fun, retro vibe to the look!
Jessica Alba
Darker colors are a little harder to work with and as much as I hate use the word "rules", there are a few. The "rules" are a little bit of common sense, such as not wearing red and green or black and orange ass the main colors because you will begin to look like a holiday mascot. Try using a color wheel and going towards opposites or just make combos that you think look great! Adding hints of black and/or white like Jessica Alba has done can work as neutral compared to the other bright colors.

How do you mix colors?

How To Style: The Denim Shirt

Denim shirts, jackets, and tops became a fashion statement just a little while back, but now they are a fashion trend! So for all the fashionistas who have been rocking the denim top since day one, don't stop wearing the denim just because everyone else has started. Find out how to style and revamp the denim top from classic, to casual, to chic.
Annalynne McCord
Make your denim shirt fit the classic put together look by ironing or pressing it to be super crisps. Button the shirt up, but leave a few unbuttoned at the bottom for room to tie the shirt. This looks great with high waisted pants like Annalynne's or just put a camisole or tank top underneath.
Alexa Chung
Throw your denim shirt over your favorite tee or use it as a jacket. This looks super casual, but still fashionable. Alexa Chung's look goes from a very dressed up edgy outfit, to more laid back just by adding the loose denim top.
Ashley Olsen

Get the ultra chic look like Ashley Olsen by buttoning up and tucking in your denim top. A contrast of light and dark denim is a great visual and actually adds shape at the waist. If you want to go extremely chic and fashionable, then try buttoning your top all the way up and placing a chunky necklace right under the collar.

Fashion 101: Edgy Kristen Stewart

Kristen Stewart always rocks the easy, edgy look from head to toe. Her outfits are very easy to recreate, but do take a certain confidence and attitude to rock because so few people wear such edgy and stylish looks. Key peices to getting the edgy look include a slouchy tee, leather or dark colored skinnies, a wild printed clothing peice, and an oxford like shoe.
For an casual, but edgy look throw on a slouchy tee paired with a pair of dark skinnies or leather pants. Add a blazer or bomber over top to add shape or extra flair to a tee that's on the more plain side. A cute pair of oxfords or sneakers go perfectly with this look and are super comfty.
Just because it's edgy doesn't mean it has to be dark or all black, that would become extremely boring! Add in a wild print of clothing or something with a unique shape to switch things up a bit. Wild and bright colors are attention grabbers and no matter what look or style your going for, they are always good to throw in. A cool geometric shape or cool pattern can also give your body a different look and the eye a great visual.

How do you rock the edgy look?
