Hair 101: Spring Breaker Style

Spring break is all about relaxation meaning most of us are doing absolutely nothing. Whether you're doing absolutely nothing at the beach or on the couch, cute hairstyles are always a must! I love the look of wavy hair which can be achieved by letting your natural hair do its thing, the ocean water mixing into your hair, or simply using curl enhancing products to bring out your hair texture. Below are my top three favorite"Spring Breaker" hairstyles that even I will be rocking throughout my spring break. Don't forget that even if you don't have wavy or textured hair you can still do these amazing styles.
Vanessa Hudgens
Vanessa is known for having a boho easygoing style which is definitely seen through her casual wavy bun. If it happens to be warmer wherever you are for spring break it is always good to get to your hair out of your face. All you need to do to achieve this hairstyle is pull all your hair up into a high bun and secure with an elastic and bobby pins. This bun is all about being carefree so it's okay if your bangs fall out and as well as a few pieces of the bun, just use clips to secure the pieces you don't want sticking out.

Wavy hair is a go to if you are spending spring break at the beach because the humidity and water will make your hair's natural texture come out! All you want to make sure is that you keep a frizz serum so your hair will not go completely out of control and a comb to keep it tangle free. If you won't be at the beach getting gorgeous beach waves, you can always braid your hair overnight or you use curl enhancing products along with a scrunching technique to get your own beach waves.

Jennifer Lawrence
Last, but not least is a spunky messy ponytail . They the higher the hair, the closer to Heaven which is exactly the vibe Jennifer Lawrence is giving off with her high ponytail. A high ponytail always gives off a look of perkiness and ease, plus they're super easy to create. A messier ponytail is more casual and everyday, but if you add small detail such as tamed bangs and a piece of hair wrapped around the elastic, you will have a more polished and trendy high ponytail.

What do you have planned for spring break?

Fashion 101: 5 Cold Weather Essentials

There are 5 top fashion essentials for cold weather that will help you if you want to look cute and stay warm at the same time. Hats, oversized sweaters, scarves, layers, and darker clothing are so beneficial to your wardrobe throughout the fall and winter season. Each item keeps you warm and chic, some you can even turn into a DIY project! Keep on reading to find out how to incorporate the essentials into your everyday wardrobe.

Jessica Alba
Work with oversize sweaters paired with tighter fitting skinny jeans. The big sweater helps to keep you super warm while the skinny jeans maintain your curves and shape. An extra bonus goes for the ladies who try out printed skinny jeans paired with an oversize sweater for an unexpected twist! If it's really chilly outside throw on a cute beanie to keep your head warm.
Ashley Benson
Layering up with cardigans, jackets, knee socks, anything extra will definitely help you to stay warm. The best layering technique is to mix up the colors your layering with like how Ashley Benson went with whites, blacks, and greys to showcase each different piece. Don't wear to many flowy and loose layers, try stick with only a flowy cardigan and keep the rest fitted or a fitted jacket with a flowy top. Keep the layer balanced!
Kim Kardashian

Scarves are great for keeping your neck warm and chic at the same time. Scarves are becoming so versatile lately with the various patterns, fabrics, styles, and of course the way to wear them. I love watching WendysLookBook's video on Youtube about all the different scarf looks, who knew there way more than just wrapping it around your neck? However, the best way to wear a scarf is with lower neckline tops and crew necks, scarves don't always look good with a turtle neck.

Summer Series: Hot Hair

Lauren Conrad
Ashley Benson

Shailene Woodley Ties Her Long Hair Back Into This Super High Chic Bun
Shailene Woodley
Summer gets extremely hot and sometimes it's too much to have long locks hitting against your body. Summer is also the best time to try out new styles, especially for your hair. I love how Lauren Conrad keeps her long locks all year round and is always finding new ways to spice it up. Lauren's hairstyle above is very easy to do and gets your hair out of your face. You can either french braid a section of hair backwards or simply just braid two sections and clip them back. So simple! Ashley Benson took a major chop of her long wavy hair and it is super edgy, just what she is going for. The natural wavy hair and messy aspect is the best part of her new 'do.  Short hair can be very versatile just like long hair because it can still be curled, braided, pinned, anything! It also prevents you from being even more overheated! Lastly Shailene Woodley goes trendy by pulling her hair up into a high bun that can either be messy or slick, whatever look your going for! A bun is very versatile because it can work for both formal and casual occassion and also helps when your in the process of growing out your hair.

What is your go to hairstyle for summer?

I was instantly amazed with my new issue of Teen Vogue as I saw a gorgeous Ashley Benson gracing the covers. I love Ashley's make-up and it is perfect for an everyday beauty look. This look is so easy to recreate with just a few make-up basics. Pull out your foundation, primer, liner, blush/bronzer and mascara ladies!
  1. Start off with a very clean face. Use concealer to hide any blemishes then add on some matte foundation.
  2. Take some golden blush or bronzer, suck in your cheeks and contur your face. Make sure to blend to stop harsh lines while dragging the brush up into your temples.
  3. Prime your eyelids and line your top lash line with a light coating of black. Create a cateye if you wish to add a little drama to your eyes.
  4. Coat your lashes with some mascara, but keep them natural by using only 1-2 swipes.
  5. Put some primer on your lips and add a pretty pink lipstick to give your look some color.
