Back 2 School: From the Bottom Up

Back 2 School: From the Bottom Up
Keep it printed, textured, and fun for your back to school bottom wear. In my opinion, the bottom half of your look is what makes it hot! I love printed pants and cute circle skirts that allow me to feel comfortable while still looking cute during the school day. Not only do the bottoms keep me feeling cute and comfy, but so do oxfords and sneakers! Oxfords give me a taste of flats mixed with a tennis shoe look while converses and sneaker wedges can go from edgy to girly.

Hair 101: Spring Breaker Style

Spring break is all about relaxation meaning most of us are doing absolutely nothing. Whether you're doing absolutely nothing at the beach or on the couch, cute hairstyles are always a must! I love the look of wavy hair which can be achieved by letting your natural hair do its thing, the ocean water mixing into your hair, or simply using curl enhancing products to bring out your hair texture. Below are my top three favorite"Spring Breaker" hairstyles that even I will be rocking throughout my spring break. Don't forget that even if you don't have wavy or textured hair you can still do these amazing styles.
Vanessa Hudgens
Vanessa is known for having a boho easygoing style which is definitely seen through her casual wavy bun. If it happens to be warmer wherever you are for spring break it is always good to get to your hair out of your face. All you need to do to achieve this hairstyle is pull all your hair up into a high bun and secure with an elastic and bobby pins. This bun is all about being carefree so it's okay if your bangs fall out and as well as a few pieces of the bun, just use clips to secure the pieces you don't want sticking out.
Ashley Benson
Wavy hair is a go to if you are spending spring break at the beach because the humidity and water will make your hair's natural texture come out! All you want to make sure is that you keep a frizz serum so your hair will not go completely out of control and a comb to keep it tangle free. If you won't be at the beach getting gorgeous beach waves, you can always braid your hair overnight or you use curl enhancing products along with a scrunching technique to get your own beach waves.

Jennifer Lawrence
Last, but not least is a spunky messy ponytail . They the higher the hair, the closer to Heaven which is exactly the vibe Jennifer Lawrence is giving off with her high ponytail. A high ponytail always gives off a look of perkiness and ease, plus they're super easy to create. A messier ponytail is more casual and everyday, but if you add small detail such as tamed bangs and a piece of hair wrapped around the elastic, you will have a more polished and trendy high ponytail.

What do you have planned for spring break?

Nail 101: Liquid Sand Polish

"Get Your Number" Liquid Sand Polish
I have been on the hunt for a bright blue nail polish but instead I went for a liquid sand nail polish from Mariah Carey's new O.P.I. line. The polish gives off a textured sandy look full of glitter that looks absolutely gorgeous! The polish applies with full color coverage with 2 coats and a top coat is not needed to create the sandy, textured look. The polish has stayed on chip free for about four days which is a nail polish record for me especially since I use my hands a lot throughout the day resulting in chipped nails that I constantly have to redo. The glitter in the polish are all different sizes making your nails sparkle and shimmer from various angles and while the background color pops. The best part about the liquid sand nail polish is that it is true to its color and is not just another see through nail polish. Kudos to Mariah Carey for a top notch liquid sand nail polish line in multiple gorgeous colors!
What is your go to nail look?

Fashion 101: Texture Mix

Shay Mitchell
Shay Mitchell is not just a pretty little liar, she is also a fabulous fashionista! I love how Shay mixes texture in this outfit and makes it springtime perfect. The look is perfect for a warm, breezy day because the silk top allows for both warmth and coolness and the skirt shows off toned legs. Shay's skirt is super cute, the refelcting colors gives off a mermaid inspired look. Mixing textures is almost as easy as mixing prints, but there are still a couple key tips to getting it just right.
  •  Be sure that you don't pair two bold textures together, too much texture can be too over the top.
  • The best way to make a textured outfit flow is to seperate off peices by a belt like Shay Mitchell has done.
  • Try out a smooth texture mixed with a rough texture when you are first mixing textures and continuosly venture out to more daring combinations.
Try out some these tips to learn how to mix textures in your outfits. Remember to just experiment to find out what textures work together for you. Try it out for any occasion!
