DIY Nails: Bright and Fun Colorblock

I decided to enter the Sally Hansen nail design competition and the theme for this month's nails was colorblock! I decided to make my colorblock original by using three of my favorite colors paired with a strong white to break them up. You can even vote for my nail design on SallyHansen.com and you will see "lyndseycamille" by my design. If you would like to recreate my nail design, all you need is three bright contrasting colors, a white nail striper, and a clear top and base coat.

Must Haves: Bright Spring Bags

Spring Bags

Neon bags are a must for the spring and summer seasons. Neon bags give any outfit a boost and it's a fact that bright colors brighten up your mood which is always a plus! Smaller bags are great to carry since they won't weigh you down, take the attention away from your outfit, and make sure that your only bringing what you actually need. Since the bags are so small it makes it even better to be in a bright neon color because it's the perfect amount of color. The three best small bag styles that are also seen above are the chain clutch, with the chain being removable, the bowler bag which slightly resembles a bowling bag, and a cross body bag. Each bag is big enough to carry all your essentials, come in a variety of bright neon colors.
What is your go to bag?

OOTD: Sequins and Metallics

Sequins, metallics, and florals are definitely my new favorites. I can not get enough of florals, they have become one of my wardrobe must haves. Sequins and metallics make me feel so glam and sparkly, plus if they're worked in with a solid color they can be worn with anything. In this outfit of the day I have kept warm with a pink sequin sweater paired with my favorite floral skinny jeans and my knew blush pink metallic Ugg wedges.
My pink sequin sweater is so comfy and perfect for the cold weather without feeling bulky or scratchy against the skin. However it doesn't stop at that, the bright pink color ties into the flowers on my jeans making the look flow together. The shoes are my new blush pink metallic wedge Uggs that I got from Nine West. Their metallic style definitely ties in with the sequins and glams up the look

Let me know in the comments below how you like my Sequins and Metallic ootd! Be sure to show me your ootds on Twitter @lyndseycamille.

OOTD: The Best Time To Wear A Striped Sweater

Just because it's fall doesn't mean I'm going to stop wearing bright eye-catching color and funky prints! The weather is getting so breezy so I decided that it's time to pull out my sweaters and on top their happened to be my 4 year old blue and green sweater. This sweater is an old favorite especially since it is in such good condition after all these years! Although the green and blue coloring appear bright in the photos, they're actaully quite dark and needed a little something to lighten the mood and make it more fun. I paired my sweater with these vibrant red pants that stop right above the ankle and gives off a quirky, cool look when worn with oxfords. I wore a blue cami underneath my sweater, I have to keep the little something I do have covered, a small pair of dangly earrings, and four mismatch rings.
Tell me what your wearing for fall and how you style your favorite sweater!

Fashion 101: Pops of Color

Rachel Bilson
Rachel Bilson's outfit is the perfect example of ways to add in a pop of color! Pops of color are used when your outfit seems too dark or has too much of one color. A pop of color is exciting and gives your look more personality and head turning power! The best places to add a pop of color is with a shoe, purse, accessory, or even in the shirt or bottoms. Other simple places to add a pop of color could also be with your nail polish or make-up. I love how Rachel Bilson incorporated two pops of color in two neons, it is absolutely fab! Rachel shoes are fierce, the yellow is a little too muted to be considered neon, but they still are bright against the black pants. The bright blue shirt brightens up Rachel as well as the room. I especially love the overall flowiness of the top and the nice ease it gives off.

Get The Look: Casual Nicki Minaj Look

Nicki Minaj Look
  1. Start off with a clean face and dab concealer in areas where needed. After adding your necessary amount of concealer use your foundation and set it with powder.
  2. Prime your eyes with a product such as Urban Decay's Primer Potion so your make-up stays on throughout the day. Then use a soft white color on the brow bone and create a very defined highlight.
  3. Once you have finsihed defining your highlight cover the rest of your lid in an eyeshadow shade that is about 1-2 shades lighter than your natural skin tone.
  4. Now that you are done with the eyeshadow, use black liguid liner to create a thick line right along your lash line stopping at the end of your eye. Also line your waterline and tightline if desired.
  5. Curl your lashes with an eyelash curler then coat them with jet black mascara. Afterwards apply big fake lashes to make your eyes and lashes pop, they definitely create the Nicki Minaj vibe. However, the eyelashes are not required for the look.
  6. Take a pink blush, suck in your cheeks and contour you face into your temples.
  7. Lastly take a nude lip liner and line your lips before adding a pink gloss coating over your lips.
P.S. If you even want to take the look farther, paint your nails a vibrant pink just like Nicki Minaj! The look is very spring and summer appropriate so try it out chicas!
