Hair 101: Spring Inspiration Styles

From the tousled waves to the dainty flower clips, this hairstyle screams girly! This ponytail look is perfect for spring and easy to create. Pull the hair back to the nape, curl the ends, and place the clips throughout the hair.

This look is super preppy and put together. I love a strong part, especially paired with sleek, smooth hair.

Although the amount of braids and tousled-ness is a bit excessive in this look, it is great inspiration. This look shows that braids do not have to follow a specific pattern, size, or tidiness to look cute!

Back 2 School: Hailee Steinfeld

Back 2 School: Hailee Steinfeld
Get a chic, simple, and quick back to school outfit with inspiration from Hailee Steinfeld at Comic Con. I love how she pair a button up wtih a highwaisted pant and flat loafer style shoes. Since school is more casual than Comic Con, I would suggest pairing a white top, or stick with a button down, and pair it with a higher waisted pair of jeans. For shoes, try a oair of loafers that can go with anything and a pop of color on your lips to make your look pop.

Get The Look: Lana Del Rey

Lana Del Rey is the perfect mixture of retro Hollywood glamour and a modern seductress. Lana is so effortlessly beautiful and timeless with her overall look and style that it is very hard to even try to copy her look. However, she is the perfect lady to take inspiration from if your craving a sexy, old time look that takes hints from icons like Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor. My top traits of Lana which will work for anybody is to hold your self high, confident, and overall classy. Try very neutral make-up, a matte foundation paired with a nude lip color and major lashes and liner are the signature Lana Del Rey make-up look. Also, don't forget to fill in your brows to make them bold and frame your face. Roller setting your hair or using a wide barreled curling iron will help you to achieve those big luscious curls that will even work on medium/short length hair. Add in your modern look with funky nails, fun hair pieces, and pairing vintage clothing with modern accessories.

Inspired Style: Fergie 70's Romantic

Fergie Clothes
Fergie
Fergie's 70's Romantic inspired style looks fabuous on her because she owns it. The look may not be for everyone, but inspired styles are always great to try out. Fergie starts by ttaking a flowly cream dress that almost has a grecian look and takes it into a 70's hippie vibe by adding a long fringe vest. She also adds tough boots to add a little edge and an oversized bags to carry all the necessary items. The romance touch of the look comes from the flowiness of each peice in her outfit and the 70's inspiration comes just from a dding the fringe vest. Each part of the look can even look great just on its own. Don't forget to add trendy, laid-back accessories such as aviators and leather, braided bracelets and necklaces like Fergie. Get inpspired ladies and take on a whole new element of fashion!

Outfit Of The Day: 70's Inspired

I was feeling very 70s-ish and decided to pair a loose butterfly winged top with wide legged jeans. My color scheme is kept very neautral with tans, browns, and a gold watch. I even went a little natural by wearing my feather earrings. For shoes I stuck to my favorties, oxfords. They are extremely comfortable and go with just about any outfit. I wore my gold Betsey Johnson watch, a butterfly wing, an owl ring, and a chunky bracelet. My hair is pulled up into a bun, it is desperately awaiting a hair appointment, and I decided to go with no make-up today. By the way my eyewear is just my everyday glasses that have transitioned into some very cool Ray-Ban shades. In all I love my outfit all thanks to some 70's inspiration.

Oufit Of The Day: Casual Valentine

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! My gift to you is my first Outfit of the Day post. I could not wait any longer to begin showing my own personal outfits and style. Today was one of my more casual, comfortable and simple days. I paired a loose flowy top with a bow detail that I love and skinny jeans together. I wore my favorite shoes, tan oxfords, with grey leg warmers that I thought were cute and unexpected. Since it's Valentine's Day I could not help but put on some pretty red feather earrings. All together I was thinking of a dancer/ballerina look when styling my outfit. Have a very happy Valentine's Day!
