Get The Look: Rooney Mara

Rooney Mara is strikingly beautiful and I cannot stop admiring her peircing eyes. I love that she does not dress super sexy or try too hard to stand out.  Rooney's entire look is very edgy, unique, and even mysterious. Her porcelain skin, red lips, and wispy eyelashes really make me want to recreate her look.
  1. Start off with a clean face,we want our skin to look really nice for this beauty look. Apply concealer as neccessary.
  2. Apply foundation and make sure to blend it into your skin. Set your foundation with powder matching your skin tone.
  3.  Take a light blush in a sheer red color and brush it along your cheeks into your temples. Make sure to contour.
  4. Prime your eyelids so your eyeshadow will stay in place. Take a white eyeshadow and brush it onto your brow bone and even a little bit into your crease.
  5. Lightly line your tightline with black liner and apply black mascara to both your top and bottom lashes. Now is the time to add long, wispy false eyelashes if you would like.
  6. Place primer on your lips, it will help your lipstick stay on longer and increase the color. Apply your red lipstick in a shade that fits you.
  7. Slick your hair back out of your face to show off your make-up look.
Now you have the edgy, gorgeous make-up look like Rooney Mara. Remember practice makes perfect and to be patient. Even change some steps so it works specifically for you. Try it out chicas!

Outfit Of The Day: Silky Top and Boots

It's the first day back to school and I have to look cute, but still be comfty. I love the print on my shirt and the flowy, loose feel. It is also super comfortable and feels so soft and silky and looks great with skinny jeans. I tucked my skinny jeans into my go to black boots that go up to the middle of my calf. I accesoried with dangly black and white earrings, a black bracelet, and a cute ring. So cute and comfortable, I love it!

Love Her Style: Kat Graham

Kat Graham Hair
Kat Graham
Kat Graham's style is always daring, bold, and makes a statement. She never sticks to one particular style so I am always wanting to know what she is wearing. I love the way she talks about her fashion and herself, she isn't scared to take risks. Her style is amazing and no one can copy it because it is so unique. Wether her outfit is a hit or miss at the end of the day I still love the fact that she rocks whatever she is wearing. In the picture above Kat is rocking acid wash jeans, a leather tube top, and some killer wedges. And you can't forget to mention the cute metallic clutch and the chains going around her shoulders. Kat Graham has to be one of my fashion role models. Whenever I'm doubtful of a fashion risk I think of her. Kat rocks her style!

Beauty 101: Michelle Williams

Michelle Williams
Michelle Williams looked drop dead gorgeous at the 2012 Academy Awards. Michelle had major confidence, an amazing dress, and beautiful, radiant make-up. I love her pixie cut, it shows off her facial features and gives off such a sweet vibe. Michelle's beauty look is also amazing and can even be transformed into an everyday look. Her entire beauty look is perfect for spring, especially the flirty lip color. Let's recreate the look chicas!
  1. Start off with a clean face and apply tinted moisturizer. You do not need any heavy concealer or foundation because we want the look to stay very light.
  2. Apply primer to your eyes and then add a shimmery flesh tone shadow. Only put the shadow up to your crease, not too much.
  3. Now draw a thin line with an eyeliner pencil right by the lash line. Lightly line your waterline as well. Don't forget to add a few coats of mascara.
  4. Take some sheer, rosy pink blush and brush it on the apple of your cheeks.
  5. Now for the statement! Put some primer on your lips, this allows the lipstick to stay on even longer. Apply any lipstick color such a peach, tangerine, or a light pink.
  6. Add a gloss over your lipstick for more shine.
I love this beauty look, colorful fit right into spring. Try it out ladies!

Natural Beauty Challenge Week Two

How are is your Natural Beauty Challenge going? Are skin is now becoming cleaner and healthier now that we are beginning to wash are face and moisturize. Our hair is should also be appearing healthier and have more bounce. Throughout the week my skin has gone through a break out, I couldn't believe it! After all my face washing and cleansing my face was not doing what I expected. Since I know I was actually was sticking to my plan, I'm just going to blame it on being a teenager. One huge accomplishment for my Natural Beauty Challenge is that I went and had my hair relaxed and trimmed. After my relaxer and trim I finally got to see how much my hair has grown, it's touching my back now! Now I know that technically isn't long for some people, but my hair has never been this length before or this healthy, I am so excited! Now on to week two, we should start daily routines and find a good skin care and make-up products that do not damage our skin. As for our hair we should start moisturizing, conditioning, and continue laying off the heat.

Hair 101: Roughed Up Side Braid

Amanda Seyfried is a true natural beauty and a fantastic actress. Amanda's hairstyle in the photograph is just gorgeous and perfect for girls with longer hair. It will even turn out better when the hair is very thick. This hairstyle is perfect after a day of wear curly or wavy hair that you aren't ready to wash away.
  1. Start with hair that has not been washed for about a day or two.
  2. If you wish to have waves in the braid, curl big sections in the hair. It does not have to be perfect so don't stress if some curls are not the best.
  3. Brush all your hair smooth onto one side. Loosely secure the hair with a ponytail holder.
  4. Begin braiding your hair and secure the bottom with a ponytail holder. Take off the first ponytail holder once the braid is finsihed
  5. Start pulling some of the hair to loosen up th braid and make it expand bigger. Almost like teasing the hair, but with your fingers.
  6. Let some pieces hang loose and frame your face. Spray the hair with hairspray if needed.
Now the hairstyle is complete! If it does not come out as you wish the first time, keep practicing or change the steps to fit you. Rock the roughed up side braid chicas.

Love Her Style: Lourdes Leon

Lourdes Leon has incredible style and she sticks to it. Lourdes serves as creative director for the brand Material Girl and you can definitely tell! Lourdes always has an edgy cool girl look and even mixes it up with bright colors and patterns. I especially love her confidence to wear ripped tights and make a statement, Lourdes totally makes it work. Her version of the little black dress is like no other which makes it perfect. Lourdes Leon's taste for fashion reminds you of her mother, Madonna, especially in her 80's sensation. Could great fashion sense be genetic? Either way Lourdes Leon has amazing style.

Hair 101: Ombre Hair Color

Raven Symone
Drew Barrymore
Alexa Chung
Hilary Duff
Ombre hair color is so cool and beautiful, definitely my favorite hair trend ever! I could not help but gather lots of pictures to share of ombre hair and the gorgeous ladies sporting the trend. All the women range in ages, color, and hair length, ombre hair color works for everyone. Raven Symone stays chic and straightens her hair which really shows off the dark color going into the nice honey brown. I love that she stayed in the brown shade and did not go all the way into a bright blonde. Drew Barrymore is such a risk taker, not only is her hair ombre but she has added in braids and waves. Drew is very cool and daring with her hair and extremely confident. Alexa Chung is showing all the short hair ladies that they can still have ombre hair color and still give off the same affect.  Hilary Duff looks gorgeous, her hair is in nice waves that aren't to clean cut which really lets her ombre hair color stand out.

What do you think about ombre hair color?

Get The Look: Chanel Iman

Look #1
Look #2

Chanel Iman is my favorite young model, she is gorgeous and seems awesome to hang out with. Chanel has great street style and always gives up an edgy, urban vibe. I love look one because it is so chic, but is still casual to wear. Her shirt is striped with a very dramatic crop and it is paired with a drapey leather jacket. I have a similar shirt and jacket which is making me want to recreate the look right now. Chanel's jeans are very nice and the wash of them makes them perfect for an occassion where you can dress casual, but it must still be nice. Her beauty look is gorgeous, she has a smokey eye and her hair is pulled up into a high bone showcasing her cheekbones. Look two may be love for some and hate for others, but I think the look is fun anf unique. I really like all the colors and the leather pants. She has a girly, edgy, glam look and for me it is hard not to love this outfit. Chanel's hair is also super cute with a half up half down hairstyle and very natural make-up. Chanel is totally cool and beautiful with a great sense of style!

Beauty 101: Lana Del Rey

Lana Del Rey is absolutely gorgeous in this photograph. I love her look and style, she is very retro. Lana Del Rey also has an amazing voice and was featured in an issuse of Teen Vogue and is on the cover of UK Vogue. The photograph above showcases her natural glow and beautiful, flowing wavy hair. The white flowers add innocence to the look, but doesn't make it too young. They are perfectly placed and just the right amount. Lana's beauty is just amazing to me, it reminds me of a 70's flower child. Her make-up is natural and she is sporting defined eyebrows and heavily lined eyes which create an alluring look. Check out Lana Del Rey and recreate her beauty look, it's fabulous!

DIY Sparkly Ombre Nails

I am loving my nails! I practiced on a nail art wheel and created lots of nail designs and art until I was happy and statisfied. I became inspired to do this nail design after seeing pictures of nail stickers and I decided to recreate them. Nail stickers are great, but after a while the cost of buying them can add up and I'd rather create the design myself.  Ombre nails are actually very easy to do on both hands and can be done very quickly. The silver sparkle even adds more glam power! And don't worry you can use any nails polish colors to do this design.
  1. Grab a clear base and top coat, a sparkly nail polish, and two of the sma
  2. Begin by washing your hands and cleaning your nails with nail polish remover. Do this step even if you don't have on previous nail polish.
  3. Coat your nails with a top coat, this helps your polish to stay on longer.
  4. Polish the top to the middle of your nail with you darkest polish. Let it be a little bit messy when you get to the middle of your nail.
  5. Take your medium shade polish and brush it from the middle and let the color fade into the bottom. Mix it in with the dark polish to create a new color.\
  6. Use your sparkly polish and paint right by your cuticle and take it up to the beginning of the medium polish. Let it mix in with the medium polish to create a new sparkyl color.
  7. Let your nails dry for about ten minutes. Do not immediately put on your top coat, all the colors will run together and be ruined.
  8. After your nails are a little over halfway dry puton your clear top coat and contiue to let your nails dry.
  9. Now your nails are finished and look amazing
If it doesn't work out the first time remember be patient and  practice makes perfect chica!

Outfit Of The Day: Print and Oxfords

After of day of laying around and  watching a complete marathon of How Do I Look? and Legally Blonde, I was  hungry. No one knew what to get to eat, but getting dressed would be a great start. Since it was so late I thought to out something together that would be cute and comfortable. I decided to wear my flower printed button down, it actually goes down further than it is in the picture. I also put on my light grey skinny jeans and my favorite shoes, oxfords. Although I was in a rush, there is no way I am going to go anywhere without any accessories! I am wearing red feather earrings, my gold Betsey Johnson boyfriend watch, and multiple rings. Whenever I am in a hurry I always go for skinny jeans and a button down, an outfit that I know will always work for me.

What's your go to look?

Get The Look: Beyonce

Beyonce looks very urban and chic with this look. She always gives off a glam vibe and walks in sky high pumps like their gym sneakers. Beyonce is also one of the only people I have ever seen to be able to totally rock suspenders. This look is great for a day out shopping, an afternoon at the movies, or even lunch with the girls. I love that Beyonce is wearing straight leg high waisted jeans as an alternative to skinny jeans, they prevent the look from being too sexy. The plaid button down is super cute especially since it's fitted. Beyonce even warms the look up by throwing on a trendy jacket with a fabulous collar which is perfect for winter. I just love Beyonce's footwear, the color of the pumps are awesome and the height is magical. She also adds a long statement necklace, a small cocktail ring, suspenders, and a white oversized purse. This look is great for anyone wanting an urban, chic outfit for an everyday street style.

Confidence Booster #5

Ariana Grande - Kids' Choice Awards 2011
Ariana Grande
Ariana Grande has a magnificent voice, is a great actress, an is also absolutely gorgeous. Ariana is never seen with tons of make-up on, she always has natural make-up and lets her natural beauty shine through. I love how she stands with confidence and although she never does anything too crazy, but she is always bold. Ariana colored her hair magenta and she rocks it! A trait of confidence is being bold. No matter how bold you are, do something that stands out. I always felt bold when I cut my hair and no one else did, I now feel bold by doing things such as crazy nail designs. You don't have to do too much to be bold, just do whatever suits you. Boost up your confidence ladies!

Hair 101: Dip Dyed Hair

Jessie J
Jessie J is always bold! I love the contrast between the purple and black in her hair.
Selena Gomez
Selena Gomez shocked me when she put blue and purple in hair. The colors are very vibrant, but she is confident and rocks it!
Jordin Sparks
Jordin Sparks is gorgeous! The purple blends well with her natural hair color and is just perfect. I wonder how it looks curly.

The dip dyed hair trend has been seen on many celebrities and every day people. I love the trend, but only when done right. My favorite dip dyed hair look is on Jordin Sparks. Jordin Sparks' colored hair blends in to look almost natural, but still fun and unexpected. Never go to bright with dip dyed hair, it may take away from your whole look and most importantly your beautiful face. I am not one to use hair color on my hair, but if I did I would love to try dip dyed hair.

How do you feel about dip dyed hair?

Get The Look: Emma Stone

Emma Stone has to be one of my favorite celebrities, she always has a cool girl vibe. I love this outfit she is wearing, it is super chic and perfect for an everyday look. Emma pairs comfortable black flats with grey skinny jeans and a striped top. The shades and motorcycle jacket make the look stand out and become super chic. Emma's bag is also very cool and the color contrast goes well against the black and grey, check out the twisted strap design! Emma's beauty look is kept natural and her hair is pulled back into a messy bun. I'm very into this look and even plan to recreate myself. Try it out chicas!

Get The Look: Polka Dots For Prom

Emma Stone
Emma Stone looks absolutely gorgeous in this dress at the premier of the movie, The Help. Emma Stone was an amazing actress in the movie which called for an equally amazing dress. A dress like this is perfect for quirky girls or anyone who wants to try something different. The polka dots are a unique touch as well as the shoulder cut outs and the criss-cross going across the chest. It's great because the small chest cut out stays appropriate for prom because it does not show too much. The small belt around the waist prevents the dress from becoming to loose and baggy and instead defines the waist. The look calls for very minimal accessories because of the heavy print so stick to small earrings. Emma's red lips go perfectly with this dress and the waves in her hair give off an old Hollywood flair. I am really liking this look for prom or any other special occasion, it's always great to try something unique and different. Try it out chicas!

Get The Look: Leighton Meester

Look #1

Look #2

I usually only post one outfit for a Get The Look post, but I could not help but share both of these photos of Leighton Meester. I have always thought she has a great sense of style both on and off Gossip Girl. The two looks above are fabulous and I think they could work for various occasion. The top photo is good for evening and night, while the bottom outfit is best for the mornings and afternoons. Leighton Meester could easily be out taking a stroll in the bottom outfit or having a shopping day with the girls. The top outfit can be great for a date, dinner, or a girls night out. Leighton's first outfit is very easy to recreate. She is wearing a nude dress, fierce tan booties, a moto jacket, and a warm scarf. She even adds cool shades and curls her hair. Leighton's second look is very chic and casual. She wears chunky high heel sandals, green military skinnies, and a cute midriff baring top. Her accessories included a  cute oversized bag and round shades. I love her hair pulled back into a simple ponytail. Try out these looks ladies!

Hair 101: Fabulous Ponytails

Beyonce Knowles
Mila Kunis
Kim Kardashion
Ponytails are a girl's best friend on a bad hair day, but I actually love ponytails for any day. Ponytails can go from edgy, girly, to super chic in seconds and look great on anyone! They also help show off beautiful, radiant faces. The above pictures are some of my favorite ponytail looks rocked by celebs! Beyonce's ponytails shows off her nice cat eyes and glowing skin. Her ponytails is slicked back low to the nape of her neck with gorgeous curls falling down her back. Mila Kunis' ponytail is super fun and easy to recreate. Mila's hair is pulled back into a loose, curly pony that sits at about the middle of the head. This ponytail is perfect for anytime and give off a carefree relaxed vibe. Kim Kardashion ponytail is ultra chic. She slicks all hair up into  a high ponytail with hair serum. She also leaves her hair super straight as it lays down her back. Try out all different types of ponytails and find what works for you!

Outfit Of The Day: 70's Inspired

I was feeling very 70s-ish and decided to pair a loose butterfly winged top with wide legged jeans. My color scheme is kept very neautral with tans, browns, and a gold watch. I even went a little natural by wearing my feather earrings. For shoes I stuck to my favorties, oxfords. They are extremely comfortable and go with just about any outfit. I wore my gold Betsey Johnson watch, a butterfly wing, an owl ring, and a chunky bracelet. My hair is pulled up into a bun, it is desperately awaiting a hair appointment, and I decided to go with no make-up today. By the way my eyewear is just my everyday glasses that have transitioned into some very cool Ray-Ban shades. In all I love my outfit all thanks to some 70's inspiration.

Betsey Johnson Nail Line

Betsey Johnson has done it again! Betsey Johnson now has a nail product line with Spehora by O.P.I  that consist of seven polish shades, nails strips, and nails stickers. One of the polishes is even scented with the "Betsey's Too Too Fragance". I am very excited, two of my favortie things, nails art and Betsey Johnson, have come together as one! The whole line is available March 1st and I can't wait.
How do you ladies feel about Betsey's new nail line?

Beauty 101: Smoldering Eyes

Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift is the epitome of smoldering eyes. Smoldering eyes are very attractive and usually the first feature a person notices.  Most girls think only loads of liner, millions of coats of mascara, and falsies are the only way to piercing eyes, but shimmer is also key. Shimmer makes beautiful glints when in the light making all attention come on you. Putting the shimmer right underneath your lower lash line and right by your upper lash line. Even put a little dark, neautral shadow right on the outside corner of the eye. To make an even bigger imoact to your eyes apply two coats of lengthening and/or thickening mascara. Your eyes will look amazing chicas.

Get The Look: Zoe Kravitz Indie Chic

Zoe Kravitz

Despite being a rocker's daughter, Zoe Kravitz has a very unique personal style that fits her perfectly. Zoe is always sporting an edgy or indie inspired look, or even both put together. The above look that Zoe is wearing is very indie, but is still very chic and perfect for a party. She pairs a nude slip dress with a gorgeous whit blazer that has rocker embellishment. Zoe also is wearing black leggings and a draping scarf that make the outfit work well for cold tempatures. The shoes are amazing, they are both white and black and have a lovely detail hanging from the top. Zoe accessorizes with a black oversize clutch complete with silver spikes on top and subtle cocktail rings. Her beauty look is kept smokey, she has dark shadow and liner around the eyes, but not too heavvy. Her hair is kept clean and straight which is great because it is not taing too much away from the look. I love the indie style and wearing unexpected items, it is bound to turn heads! Try it out chicas.

Fashion 101: Dakota and Elle Fanning

Dakota and Elle Fanning for W Magazine
Dakota and Elle Fanning are two sisters taking the fashion world by storm. I love them both, they have great style, are great actresses, and they are very confident. I am in love with the above picture of the sister duo, they look so elegant and are very photogenic. The accessories in the photograph are amazing and gives off so much class. Their flower earrings are to die for as well as Elle's pearl ring. The neck wear is very beautiful, but nothing can take away from their beauty look. I have always admired how they never cake on heavy amounts of make-up and keep it very classic and simple. Dakota's make-up consist of a little dark eyeshadow on the lower lid, liner and mascara, and some gloss on the lips. Elle appears to have a gorgeous smokey eye and a defined brow. I had to share this photo with everyone, I love it!

Confidence Booster #4

Demi Lovato has been oozing confidence lately and it's beautiful. She embraces her new curvy body and loves herself. She also talks about her personal problems and shares how to deal with them with others. Taking a tip from Demi, share your feelings and help others. Helping others gives you a statisfaction of knowing you may have helped someone and it makes you feel great leading to better confidence. Sharing your feelings let your emotions out instead of keeping them bottled up inside which only leads to feeling worse. And we can't forget to mention Demi's picture above, it's gorgeous. Demi's head is up and shoulders back giving off a great confident and stand out vibe while still being relaxed. She is beautiful and the perfect role model for gaining confidence. Get confident ladies!
