Get The Look: Jennifer Lawrence S.A.G Awards

Jennifer Lawrence has become on of my favorite actresses, she portrays confidence and promotes loving yourself. Her beauty look above is absolutely gorgeous and sultry and although it's very glam, it can even be transformed into an everyday look by using softer colors. All you need to recreate the look is a deep colored lip stain, liquid eye liner, mascara, and a shimmery chocolate eye shadow. As for the hair you will need a curling iron, a ponytail holder, and bobby pins.
  1. Begin with a clean face and apply concealer and foundation as necessary.
  2. Add a primer to your lids and sweep a shimmery chocolate eye shadow up to your crease. Be sure to keep it light.
  3. Line your entire bottom lash line. Create a medium sized line with liquid eye liner on your upper lash line. Be sure to let the bottom and top lines touch creating a slight point  at the outside corners of your eye.
  4. Coat your lips with a chap-stick to keep them moisturized, then apply your lip color.
  5. Lightly curl and add waves all over your hair. It does not have to be perfect!
  6. Sweep your hair to one side letting your bangs frame your face. Pull the remaining hair into a loose side ponytail.
  7. Take piece of your ponytail and pin them into a beautifully messy side bun.
The look is very elegant, but casual, young, and modern. Let me know in the comments below if you will be rocking this look.

OOTD: Studs, Leather, Cheetah!

You may not know this about me, but ever since I saw the Cheetah Girls movie on Disney Channel I've always had a weakness for cheetah print. Animal print in general is a cool and easy way to add a pattern to your outfit without feeling like a walking abstract painting. I wore my letterman jacket over my top while I was outside to keep warm while sticking with my laid back look. The leather pants are part of my new pants obsessions, they are a mix of simple and edgy since they are a solid color but they also have a slight shimmer and are of course leather. The leather and animal print put together make me so edgy, especially with the edition of my spike detailed sneaker wedges!

I decided to keep the construction of the outfit simple by pairing a print with a solid. The cheetah print top was very easy to pair with the red leather pants since it only consists of two colors. The shoes are my grey Guess sneaker wedges that work with just about anything and add a laid back feel to any outfit. The stud details on the back of the shoes also add an edgy and kick-butt look to the whole look. I wanted to feel casual, trendy, and fun look with this outfit which I totally felt all day.
As for hair and accessories, I kept it very minimal so I wanted take away from my outfit. I wore my everyday gold watch, a few small rings, silver hoop earrings, and my favorite "dream" rubber bracelet. My eye make-up consisted of a BB cream, mascara, and a thin cat eye. I put bantu knots in my hair the night before which gave my hair a slight wave. Also, this may sound a bit cliche, but I was sure to wear a smile and confidence all day long to compliment the look.

Beauty 101: Everyday Beauty Essentials

Beauty Essentials
Every girl has that one go-to product that they can't just go a day without, it'd be the same as going out naked if they didn't put it on. Whether your go-to everyday product are beautiful stud earrings, nail polish, or even a pair of lucky socks, every girl should definitely take to time to learn these beauty essentials. Of course it's perfectly fine to go without these beauty products, which is me most of the time, because you are absolutely beautiful with and without the make-up. These everyday beauty essentials are for the days when you want to look polished, wide-awake, and like you put way more effort in your beauty look than you actually did.
  • Sparkly Nail Polish! Okay, so this may not be your typical beauty product, but I think sparkly nail polish adds a little more personality to a handshake. Any nail polish color will automatically jazz up your fingers and if you use a sparkly polish you won't have to worry so much about obvious chips.
  • Mascara! Mascara is probably my 2nd favorite beauty product besides eyeliner because no matter what it always makes your eyelashes stand out. Lengthening and thickening mascara make your lashes pop more in pictures and can even make your eye color appear brighter.
  • Lipgloss! Lip gloss is just about every girls first make-up product, it's easy and simple which is perfect for any age. Lip gloss comes in some many different pigmented colors and formulas that it's hard not to find one that works perfectly for you. Just be sure your lips are nice and smooth before you apply or else it will be a crackly mess.
  • Bobby pins! Whether you have short, long, curly, or straight hair, bobby pins are your hair's best friend. Bobby pins can be used to create so many different styles as well as hold your hair in place or to just get your hair out of your face.
  • BB Cream! BB creams are a new product to me and they are worth the hype. BB creams help the skin and give a light coverage which is great for everyday since you don't want to pack your skin with too much make-up.

Love The Look: So Chic 1st Daughters

Sasha and Malia definitely know how to keep their fashions fun and trendy while still looking polished for historical events like the Inauguration. Sasha and Malia both know how to mix prints perfectly, match colors, and keep it looking young and fun. Below are two looks from the 2013 Inauguration that I absolutely loved as well as learned from that Sasha and Malia elegantly rocked!

It's a little scary to go super matchy with your're clothing, but contrast makes it so much better. Instead of sticking with the same exact color on top of each other try adding a dark shade to look bold against your base color. Malia Obama's dark purple coat stands out against her beautiful coat because of the purple contrast. Sasha and Malia's coats are beautifully tailored to fit their bodies without looking too constricted and the colors go great with their skin tones.
My absolute favorite look from Sasha and Malia was their mix of prints at the Kid's Inaugural Ball 2013. Mixing prints is such a hot trend and can definitely be a hit or miss look. The girls know how to use similar colors, neutral metallics, and tights to tie in pieces of a mixed print look.Their looks are quirky and different, but still dressed because of their use of tights and metallics which makes the Sasha and Malia look perfect for the occasion.

Beauty 101: Ultimate Brow Tips

Ultimate Brow Tips

Brows frame your face and can be the decider of your everyday expression. If your brows are too low you may give off a sad look and too high may have you seeming very surprised. Lately I have been obsessed with keeping my brows natural with a natural arch and filling them in a bit for extra definition. However, maintaining eyebrows in general can be considered a pain, one wrong pluck or too much brow powder can be a total disaster! Keep reading to learn the ultimate tips for brows.

  • Mirror! Of course you need a mirror when you're applying any type of make-up, but especially when dealing with your brows. You're going to want to invest in a magnifying mirror so you can see each individual hair up close whenever you're plucking or waxing your brows.
  • Shape! I recommend sticking with your own brow shape since it naturally fits you, but if you want to change it up be sure to use good judgement based on your eyes and nose shape.
  • Eyebrow Brush and Comb! Whenever you're putting on your make-up or just shaping up your brows, make sure you comb them out. It's similar to brushing your hair before styling, but for your brows.
  • Eyebrow pencil and shadow! Pencil and shadow is the best way to fill in sparse areas of your brows. While using a pencil use short strokes that mimic real eyebrow hairs and an angled brush when using shadow in the same way.Brush out your brows after using pencil and/or shadow and never use long harsh lines.
  •  Brow Gel! Finish off your brows by using brow gel to keep your brows in place all day long. You can also use a tiny bit of Vaseline as an alternative.

Top Trend Predictions

Leather, peplums, polka dots, side parts, and bolder lip colors are my predicted trends for the winter and pre-spring seasons of 2013. Whether it's fashion or beauty, I love to predict the latest trends and slowly begin to try them out before they "make it big".  Keep on reading below and learn more about my trend predictions.
Kim Kardashian
Leather and peplums are being seen everywhere now. Leather can be incorporated for in so many ways such as tops, shoes, and pants and look amazing. Leather is also very practical for the winter and can work its way into spring as a great leather short or skirt. Peplums create a curvier shape on any body type and can go from long sleeve to short in any fabric and pattern. Kim Kardashian knows how to work it with both leather and peplum in the photo above which gives off a chic look without being too many trends at once.
Cheryl Cole
Polka dots are the latest pants pattern to strike after florals and stripes. Polka dots can be sweet to edgy in a instance and are extremely versatile. From the size of the polka dots, the direction of the dots, and most importantly the color contrasts, polka dots can go with any outfit and make it stand out. Polka dots can easily work with another pattern like how Cheryl Cole pairs dots with hearts and makes it work by the black and white color contrast. Polka dots will work with any piece of clothing, but in skinny jeans it will stand out and make your outfit youthful and fun.
Kristen Stewart
Beauty wise side parts and bold lip colors are taking the red carpet and everyday looks by storm. A deep side part is an easy way to change up your hairstyle without any cutting or dying. A side part starting at the middle of your brow will make your hair cascade on one side beautifully framing your face. You can even add waves, curls, or leave your hair straight with the side part. Bold lip colors will make your face brighten up and look like you spent more time than you actually did on your make-up. Try out a lip color that goes with your skin tone, but venture out by experimenting with lip colors that will work for you.

3 Golden Globe Awards Hair Faves

The 70th Golden Globe Awards consisted of so many beautiful celebrities, jaw-dropping gowns, and gorgeous beauty looks. However, the hair looks stood out to me the most with a majoritity of the female celebs pulling their hair out of their faes into intricate buns, old hollywood waves, and edgy updos. Pulling your hair out of your face is such a big risk, and sometimes an insecurity to ladies everywhere, but I am ready for it to become a big hair trend. Below are 3 of my hair faves from the 70th Golden Globe Awards and tips on how you can rock the looks.
Katherine McPhee
Buns can literally be worn anywhere, anytime, and with anything. Katherine McPhee's bun can easily be turned into an everyday style because of its effortlessness and ease. The fact that it is not pulled back to tightly and not polished makes the bun retain its youthfulness while still being chic. The bun can easily be achieved by adding a shine/smoothing serum to your hair, pulling it into a ponytail, then very loosely wrap the hair around in circles while pinning it down with bobby pins. Fly aways are perfectly fine which makes the look great if you don't have a lot of time and still want to look cute.

Julianne Hough
If you're going to pull your hair out of your face, do it with some edge like Julianne Hough. The slick back sides frame and contour her face while the pompadour adds the BAM to the hair look. All you need to recreate Juliannes look are bobby pins, a brush, and a holding spray. Brush your edges back, leaving the center out, into a low bun. Tease the remaining hair to your liking, shape the pompadour, then secure it into the bun with bobby pins. You may need holding spray to keep the edgy look in place. The hair is perfect when you want to keep your hair ot the way while still feeling glam and edgy.

Megan Fox
Old Hollywood waves never get which is why I love Megan Fox's hair style. Hollywood waves may seem like way too much for everyday, but there is definitely a way to make it work. Create waves in your hair whether through a curling iron, braids, or just use your natural hair texture and brush all of it to one side of your hair. You may need bobby pins to keep the hair all to one side or you can use hair accessories such as a flower clips or bejeweled hairbands.

What is your favorite Golden Globe Awards hair look?

OOTD: Sequins and Metallics

Sequins, metallics, and florals are definitely my new favorites. I can not get enough of florals, they have become one of my wardrobe must haves. Sequins and metallics make me feel so glam and sparkly, plus if they're worked in with a solid color they can be worn with anything. In this outfit of the day I have kept warm with a pink sequin sweater paired with my favorite floral skinny jeans and my knew blush pink metallic Ugg wedges.
My pink sequin sweater is so comfy and perfect for the cold weather without feeling bulky or scratchy against the skin. However it doesn't stop at that, the bright pink color ties into the flowers on my jeans making the look flow together. The shoes are my new blush pink metallic wedge Uggs that I got from Nine West. Their metallic style definitely ties in with the sequins and glams up the look

Let me know in the comments below how you like my Sequins and Metallic ootd! Be sure to show me your ootds on Twitter @lyndseycamille.

People's Choice Award 2013 Fashion Faves

I have to be honest, I did not watch the People's Choice Award 2013, but I did watch the fashions on the red carpet. I saw an array of gowns, mini dresses, and of course the suit jacket with jeans on the male celebrities. Although there were so many beautiful looks being seen, what stuck out to me were the bright dresses and geometric patterns that I instantly fell in love with.. It may be winter, but it's still perfectly fine to break out your bright colors and bring the shine to everyone's day.
Lea Michele
Lea's dress is the perfect amount of pink and gives the ultimate girly vibe without being too sweet. The shape fits her body creating a tiny waist and curves while the sparkle pattern adds to defining a curvier shape to her body as well. The sparkles add a sexiness while not being too provocative since her actual body parts are not exposed. Lea has got the sweet and sexy look down!
Emma Watson
Emma Watson has always been a style favorite of mine, especially because of her quirky yet fashionable look. Her People's Choice Award 2013 dress is a great length and with the cut outs it shows the perfect amount of skin. The colors and geometric patterns of her dress give off a great visual appeal and an arrtistic vibe. Emma's shoes also add major length to her legs because of the straps giving her an A+ in my books.

Chloe Moretz
Chloe Moretz has a styke that I absolutely love because I would gladly wear anything from her closet. Her dress makes me long for summertime even more than I already do as well as a bright yellow a-line dress. The flower pattern is quirky while girly but it stays teen appropriate with the sheer addition that takes the dress to a whole new level.

Fashion 101: All Black, Never Boring

All black can seem so boring and one dimensional, but not with these tips and tricks. Demi Lovato is the queen of turning an all black look into a chic, edgy outfit while Kylie Jenner knows exactly how to dress up an LBD. All you need is texture and pattern with your black pieces and if you must, an amazing pop of color as well. Keep on reading to learn how Kylie and Demi keep an all black look fresh and chic.
Kylie Jenner
Kylie takes the black dress look to a whole other level! The sheer maxi length makes the dress accent her legs while keeping it classy because of the short black dress underneath. The belt cinches in her waist and creates shapes preventing the dress from becoming to long and baggy while also adding some shine from its patent detail. The minimal make-up and accessories allow the dress to stand out and the heels make her legs like miles long which is perfect for every girl.
Demi Lovato Clothes
Demi Lovato
A little sparkle, studs, patent, leather, bling, anything can make an all black ensemble so much better. Demi's sparkly black dress makes her shine while the leather studded jacket adds a cool edge along with her sky high booties. All together the look screams edgy glam and doesn't have one dull peice.

Demi Lovato

What could be said as the hardest way to wear black is layering, but it's way easier than you think. All you need is texture, pattern, and of course a good review over your outfit to keep from doing too much. You always want to start with either a basic top or bottom and slowly layer light items such as a scarf, cardigan, or light weight jacket, you definitely don't want to make yourself look bulky. Just remember to look over you're layering to make sure it all flows no matter what colors you're wearing.

Beauty 101: Magnifibers Brush On False Lashes

Magnifibers brush on false lashes has to be my latest beauty obsession and actually makes me want to play up my lashes. Magnifibers was sent to me about a month ago and after a couple weeks of trying it out, my final verdict is that it does exactly what it says. The product makes your lashes appear thicker, bolder, and slightly longer while still looking casual and perfect for everyday wear. You do have to use a regular mascara before applying the magnifibers product as well as after because it shows up as white dust-like fluff on your lashes. However, after the application you will notice a visible difference in the appearnce of your lashes. The only con towards the product is that when the product does get into your eyes it gives off an irritating feeling equivalent to getting an eyelash in your eye.
My Natural Lashes
My lashes with the Magnifibers product.
Overall this product has become one of my beauty faves and is perfect for making my lashes stand out even when they're hidden behind my glasses and in pictures. If you're wanting to try out the product be sure to check out the Magnifibers website here.
Let me know in the comments below how you make your lashes pop!

Get The Look: AnnaSophia Robb In Teen Vogue

If you've been following my blog for a good bit of time, you have probably realized my slight obsession with magazines, mostly Teen Vogue and Seventeen. However I can say that magazines are one of my ways into knowing the latest fashion, beauty, celebrity gossip, and other tips and tricks. Anyways, that is totally off topic because I want to show how you can recreate AnnaSophia Robbs gorgeous February issue of Teen Vogue. AnnaSophia looks so simple, yet pulled together with stunning aspects such as the flipped hair defined brows, and separated lashes. Keep on reading to find out how you can recreate the look.

To recreate the look all you need is a lengthening mascara, a lash curler, an eyebrow pencil or shadow, a very subtle blush color, a flat iron, and a comb or brush.
  1. Begin with a clean face and apply foundation and concealer as needed.
  2. Take your blush and blend it up from the apples of your cheeks to your temple. This will give your face depth and definition.
  3. With an eyebrow pencil or brush begin filling in your brows with light, short strokes until they are filled in. You may want brush through your brow s to spread out the color so it won't appear harsh.
  4. Curl your lashes with a lash curler then coat them with 2-3 coats of mascara on the top and bottom. You can even use false lashes if you really want your eyes to pop.
  5. Detangle your hair until and you may need to straighten in before hand, but do not let it get bone straight.
  6. Take your flat iron and lightly flip back the front pieces of your hair for a windblown effect. It does not have to be perfect.
  7. Top off the look with some chapstick or lip tint and you are ready to go.
Let me know in the comments below if you will be trying out this gorgeous look, I know I did!

Beauty 101: Simple Statement

Sarah Hyland
Happy New Year everyone! 2013 should be a year to take risks and make statements with your beauty. 2013 is coming in with so many beauty trends that aren't the typical "pretty" look, but more edgy and bold statements. Whether it's dark lips or luscious lashes, one simple statement can change your entire look. Keep on reading for tips on how to make a new beauty statement for 2013.
  • Lips! Lipstick is the perfect and most simple way to amp up your beauty look. Dark lips are great for the fall and winter, while you can keep it classic with a red lipstick or pretty with a pink or purple.
  • Cheeks! Try matching your lip color to your cheeks or pull out the bronzer and master the art of contouring to give your face more definition.
  • Eyebrows! Changing up your eyebrow shape can give you a whole new look. If your eyebrows ever look sparse just add in some eyeshadow to fill in with color or just to add a bolder touch.
  • Eyes! There is so much you can do with the eyes whether it is a hot cat eye, big coated lashes, or a sweep of color with eyeshadow. Liquid liner, false lashes, and an eyeshadow pallete are so much fun to play your eyes up with.
What simple statement are you making with your beauty this year?
