Prom Inspiration: Sarah Hyland Glam

Sarah Hyland Clothes
This dress is perfect for an Old Hollywood or Great Gatsby themed prom solely because of the soft nude colors accented by simple jewels on the bodice. Sarah is able to show off her tiny waist by wearing a dress that forms to her top half and softly flows out to the floor. Plus, you can save on the shoes because most likely they will never be seen! However, I would splurge more on the jewelry so more "shine" can be added to the look.

This dress is pure glamour, partly due to the dramatic black color and partly to the silk peplum accent. The peplum creates and accentuates the waist which will instantly give off an hourglass shape. This dress is great pair with long curls like Sarah's or even a simple side-bun with sparkly hair pins. Also, when wearing a dress that has its own accents, there is no need for a lot of extra accessories. Just let the dress, and you, speak for itself.

So I'll be honest, I extremely dislike short prom dress, or any short formal dress at that. However, I am in love with mid-length prom dresses. Mid-length prom dresses are short enough to show off fabulous shoes, but long enough to still look like a prom dress. Sarah's mid-length dress is adorned in chic layers and a very formfitting corset-like top. Like Sarah's other dress choices, this corset top accentuates her tiny waist and creating an hourglass shape.

How are your prom adventures?

Beauty 101: Simple Statement

Sarah Hyland
Happy New Year everyone! 2013 should be a year to take risks and make statements with your beauty. 2013 is coming in with so many beauty trends that aren't the typical "pretty" look, but more edgy and bold statements. Whether it's dark lips or luscious lashes, one simple statement can change your entire look. Keep on reading for tips on how to make a new beauty statement for 2013.
  • Lips! Lipstick is the perfect and most simple way to amp up your beauty look. Dark lips are great for the fall and winter, while you can keep it classic with a red lipstick or pretty with a pink or purple.
  • Cheeks! Try matching your lip color to your cheeks or pull out the bronzer and master the art of contouring to give your face more definition.
  • Eyebrows! Changing up your eyebrow shape can give you a whole new look. If your eyebrows ever look sparse just add in some eyeshadow to fill in with color or just to add a bolder touch.
  • Eyes! There is so much you can do with the eyes whether it is a hot cat eye, big coated lashes, or a sweep of color with eyeshadow. Liquid liner, false lashes, and an eyeshadow pallete are so much fun to play your eyes up with.
What simple statement are you making with your beauty this year?

Hair 101: 3 Looks 1 Week

I love a hairstyle that can be transformed all throughout the week! Sarah Hyland's soft bun, beachy waves, and messy ponytail all work together for a week full of switching up your hair look without a lot of difficulty. The bun helps to keep your hair out of your face while creating waves in your hair that will work for the next day and be put up into a ponytail later on. Keep on reading to learn how to recreate each hair look.
This bun is so soft, pretty, and easy to create. It works for any occasion, all you need is a brush, a ponytail holder, and bobby pins. Brush your hair up into a loose ponytail at any position on your head and secure it with a ponytail holder. You can use the sock bun method or simply wrap your hair around the ponytail holder and secure with bobby pins.
After a day, or night, of rocking the bun your hair will be full of crinkles and waves. All you need is a wide tooth comb to untangle the hair and a curling iron to define some of the waves and curls. The look should stay simple and causal for a more simple and everyday look so you won't look overdone, but chic. it can definitely be however messy or put together aas you would like.

After wearing my hair down for a while I cannot wait to pull it right back up out of my face. The waves will start to fall and become messy after a while if you don't maintain them which definitely will not look good worn down, but looks flirty and fun when pulled into a high ponytail. You can even try out a causal updo since your hair has the ability to hold more.
