Beauty 101: Intensify Your Eyes

This eyeliner look is so intense! This heavy, but clean and precise look is attainable with any type of black liner, make-up remover, and a q-tip. Use the black liner to create a heavy line and a q-tip to clean up any mistakes and make lines more precise. Top off the look with 2-3 coats of mascara.
Go blue or go home!
Runway makeup has been all about retro this fall, and it doesn’t get more mod than blue eye shadow »
These two looks are perfect for any season, it's always great to have some color! Complete this look using blue liner, a matching blue eyeshadow, a q-tip, and makeup remover. Create a cat eye look with the blue liner. Then add even more blue emphasis with by adding a bit of eyeshadow on top of the blue liner. Clean up the look by adding makeup remover to the q-tip and cleaning up any mistakes.

Beauty 101: Spring for Color Eyeliner

Spring beauty is all about a fresh, glowing face, but what about a little bit of fun color? Color eyeliner is perfect to freshen up your beauty look and give it lots of youthfulness and fun! It's such an easy touch, especially if you're like me and tend to shy away from eyeshadow. There's nothing different about the application of colored liner, but you don't want to keep the rest of the eye simple to avoid color overload. Below are three of my favorite colorful eyeliner looks which consists of a graphic straight line of  color as well as a more smudged look.

Prom Beauty Look: Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez
Selena Gomez's hair and make-up is perfect for prom or any other special occasion look. The look is a bit less formal than normal , but it will help tone down an over the top dress. Selena Gomez's curls can be recreated by taking a medium or large curling iron and wrapping your hair around it. Since prom and special occasions may last for long amounts of hours you may want to have the curls start off much tighter and use more hairspray. The make-up look is very natural except for a pop of blue shadow right along the lash line paired with black liner and mascara. Selena's nude lips and dewy skin prevent the make-up look from being too much and only focuses on one feature.  This prom beauty look will work best with a short dress or a dress that involves lots of pattern or sparkly. Try it out ladies!

Get The Look: Katy Perry Eyes

Katy Perry is known for having gorgeous eye make-up and magical eyelashes. Almost every girl dreams of their eyes looking as fabulous, but with liquid eyeliner, falsies, and some shimmer you can have it!
  1. Start off by priming all around your eyes so the eyeshadow has lots of pigment and stays on throughout the day.
  2. Brush your eyebrows and even fill them even with an eyebrow pencil by drawing with short strokes. The eyebrows help give the eyes lots of impact in this look.
  3. Use a creamy white eyeshadow color and brush it across your browbone. Also put it right into the inner coners of your eyes.
  4. Take a lilac or pink shimmery eyeshadow and brush it across the eyelid and into the crease, even a little bit onto the lower part of your browbone. Also, put the same eyeshadow color underneath your eyes.
  5. Use a liquid eyeliner and draw a thick line right by your lash line and wing it out just to the end of your eyebrow.
  6. Lastly put a powerful touch to the eye make-up by curling your eyelashes and brushing on mascara on your top and bottom lashes. Even apply falsies like Katy Perry to add length and thickness.
Now you have dreamy, beautiful eyes like Katy Perry! If it doesn't work out the first time, keep practicing, or try changing around a few steps so it works speccifically to you. Below are Katy Perry's fasle eyelashes line, Katy Perry by Eyelure. Try them out, they come in a variety of kinds.
Tell me how they work out chicas!

Get The Look: Casual Nicki Minaj Look

Nicki Minaj Look
  1. Start off with a clean face and dab concealer in areas where needed. After adding your necessary amount of concealer use your foundation and set it with powder.
  2. Prime your eyes with a product such as Urban Decay's Primer Potion so your make-up stays on throughout the day. Then use a soft white color on the brow bone and create a very defined highlight.
  3. Once you have finsihed defining your highlight cover the rest of your lid in an eyeshadow shade that is about 1-2 shades lighter than your natural skin tone.
  4. Now that you are done with the eyeshadow, use black liguid liner to create a thick line right along your lash line stopping at the end of your eye. Also line your waterline and tightline if desired.
  5. Curl your lashes with an eyelash curler then coat them with jet black mascara. Afterwards apply big fake lashes to make your eyes and lashes pop, they definitely create the Nicki Minaj vibe. However, the eyelashes are not required for the look.
  6. Take a pink blush, suck in your cheeks and contour you face into your temples.
  7. Lastly take a nude lip liner and line your lips before adding a pink gloss coating over your lips.
P.S. If you even want to take the look farther, paint your nails a vibrant pink just like Nicki Minaj! The look is very spring and summer appropriate so try it out chicas!

The Breakdown: Pencil, Liquid, Marker Oh My !

Liquid, pencil, maker, ughhh! Finding an eyeliner that works for you can be challenging when there are so many choices out there, so here is the break down for each type.
Liquid Eyeliner
Liquid eyeliner creates very percise lines and requires a steady. Usually beginning make-up users are not very good at applying liquid eyeliner so it is a skill that will take some practice. Liquid eyeliner us
the best at cresting the perfect cat eye wether you want it small or to the extreme. I suggest using the
E.L.F. liquid eyeliner because it is very inexpensive, ($1-$3!) and is a quality product that last a long time.
Coffee
Pencil Eyeliner
Pencil eyeliner seems a bit scary at first, I feel as if I am going to jab a pncil point into my eye. However, after opening the packaging you realize the point is actually much creamier and glides across the eyelid. I suggest pencil eyeliner to make-up newbies and everyone else. Pencil liner is great at creating thick and thin lines and once you get the hang of it you can easily make cat eyes. Pencil liner can also go in your tight lines of your eyes which other types of eyeliners usually can't do. E.L.F also has great pencil liners but to me they are very small so instead I buy longer pencils from brand like NYC and Wet N' Wild.
Coffee
Marker/Pen Liner
Marker/liner is a combination of pencil and liquid liner. It holds and glides like pencil while creating percise lines like liquid liner. The marker/pen liner is great for anyone who wants the best of both worlds and to skip the learning process of each individual liner. The only cons for marker/penn line is that if the top is left off a bit too long, the maker will dry out. I have only tried E.L.F's marker eyeliner in brown and it did create a natural, percise line that I loved.
