Lately, every celeb has had a case of "scissor fever". So many celebs have caught on to the "lob" trend. What is a lob you ask? Well, it's a combination of long + bob, a long bob. Usually bobs are cut above the shoulders, around the chin area. A lob, however, is cut at or just below the shoulders. This gives the hair room to still be pulled into a ponytail or bun, perfect for so many of us who still want versatility. And, as shown above, a lob can be transformed into so many looks. Keep it full with body like Lauren Conrad and Lucy Hale. Stay sleek and chic like Rihanna. Or, get bold with colored tips like Vanessa Hudgens. If you want a lob, just show your stylists one of these pics and be sure to specify the desired length of your lob.

Beauty 101: Fall 2014 Nude Nail Trend

I am a self-proclaimed manicure maven! My dresser is full of nail polish, from glitter polishes to bright neon polishes. An entire dresser drawer is home to nail design brushes and manicure kits. However, I won't be needing an abundance of color this Fall 2014 season. Throughout the summer, I became extremely bored within a repetition of bright pink, poppy coral, and classic red nail polish colors. So, I traded in bright colors for nude polishes. I found that the nude polishes complemented my accessories and made my fingers appear more elegant and lady-like. Now, two months later, who would've thought nude nails would become the Fall 2014 trend?! A nude nail look is all based upon your skin tone, a deep-toned lady may want to go for a more chocolate, rich nail color, a bronze-y girl for a soft tan polish, and a fairer skin girl for a creamy or pink-toned polish. Nude polishes are perfect because chips aren't as noticeable and can easily be dressed up with a coat of glitter polish.

Lately I have been fawning over small handbags. A small handbag would help in the fact that I always feel like a crazy bag lady whenever I go to school. I have to carry a laptop bag, lunch bag, and backpack, the last thing I want is to carry a heavy purse everywhere. Also, my current bag is starting to cause extra stress on my shoulders, not good! Small handbags complete a look without being too overpowering. Especially in solid colors, the little bags create simplicity that can be worked into any style or outfit. Plus since the bags are so small, you'll be forced to leave those random items that only work as paperweights behind!

Trend 101: Faux Body Jewelry

Trends are always coming and going, whether we like it or not. With that said, I am not fond of body jewelry (body piercings), other than a two simple ear piercings. No, I'm not a prude, body jewelry is more like a tattoo and sticks with you one way or another throughout your life. However, that's the biggest cause of the new body jewelry trends. Body jewelry no longer requires alcohol, a piercing gun, and weeks of care, only the actual jewelry. Instead of sticking to the same body jewelry pieces for months, anyone can purchase faux ear chains, septum rings, and more. And, if you like the look enough, you can even decide to go for the actual piercings. For myself, I love to rock ear chains whenever I wear my hair up to give my face a little more sparkle and edge!

Palazzo pants are known for being big and wide, but not always. Kendall Jenner tries this look with slimming palazzo pants in an Aztec print paired with a crop top. This type of slimming palazzo pant lengthens the body which is perfect for both short and tall girls.

Palazzo pants are perfect for casual days in the spring and summer. Palazzo pants work for a shopping day as well as for dates because of the array of prints, and maxiskirt-like feel. Sweats are making a super chic,and comfy, statement. The "new" sweatpants come in a more fitted form as well as in many different colors, patterns, and prints. These sweatpants can fit into any style or look, girly, edgy, and more! You also don't have to stick with only pairing sweats with sneakers because heels and boots will work too! Plus, you can offset the look by sporting a fancier top to dress up the look. Above are some of my favorite new ways to rock fashionable sweats worn by Forever 21 models.

The weather is slowly starting to get chilly which means it's time to start pulling out the sweaters. However, a cool twist on the sweater is to lengthen it down into a dress. Hailee Steinfeld is always taking a fashion risk! Hailee's sweater is slightly fitted while still having a casual slouch to it. The fun part is obviously the "eye see you!" print which gets a lot of positive attention. No matter what you're wearing, an eye catching print is always super cool if you rock it with confidence!

Lily Collins legs go on for miles in this short, dark sweater dress. However, the clothing and accessory styling is not what makes Lily's look, it's the beauty look. The slicked back hair gives a fierce and feisty attitude while the dark lipstick keeps it chic and on trend. Remember, you can always pair the look with a fun pair of printed, sheer stockings to keep your legs covered.

Keep up with the latest fall trends by pairing knee high socks with your boots! Selena is super casual in this slouchy sweater dress. Selena stays warm with of course, the warm texture of the sweater, but the knee highs act as a type of stocking. Also, if your nervous the sweater may be too short, just pair shorts, a skirt, or any other garment underneath.

Trend 101: Bring on the Leather

Leather is not just for jackets and boots anymore! Leather is making a big splash into fall fashion this year with leather skirts, purses, accessories, and more. Leather can create a very chic, edgy look especially when mixed with silver and gold accents like the boots, bracelet, and jacket pictured above. Leather skirts and pants are a great alternative to everyday fabrics because of the texture and visual appeal. Exchanging a pair of jeans for leather pants or a skirt update your look and gives it more fashion edge. However, if your not ready to commit to leather all the way, try shirts and pants with leather accents on the side or something as simple as leather purse that can also be used as a fashion basic in your closet.

Circle skirts are a staple for spring/summer 2013. Circle skirts are easy to style and very comfortable to wear on an everyday basis. You can even dress them up with a pair of heels or stay casual with sneakers. Circle skirts help to find your waist and make it look suer tiny while also adding slight curves which give you some shape. Circle skirts can easily be paired with a blouse, t-shirt, a flowly top, and just about anything else. Especially with the assortment of patterns, prints, and lengths circle skirts come in, you can make them work into your style while still being able to switch it up.
