Beauty 101: Step Up Your Spring Make-Up

Shay Mitchell
Spring is all about fun, bright, girly colors and there is no where better to try out these cutesy colors besides the lips. Lilacs, pinks, reds, and corals are perfect pout colors that will last all the way through the summer season.
AnnaSophia Robb
Mega lashes and defined brows are major beauty trends this spring and super simple to achieve! Find a great mascara and follow the "T" and "C" method. The method begins by 1-2 coats going up the lashes, then 1-2 sweeps across the top of the lashes. Follow up with a quick coat on the outer lashes in a "C" shape. Define the brows using a shadow and brow brush in short, hair-like strokes.

A soft smokey eye is the perfect spring date look. Simple pink and purple shadows on the lid, blended with a darker brown in the crease, topped off with a highlight shadow in the brown bone will create a quick, easy, and cute smokey eye. Make the look pop by adding on a coat of lipgloss and a swipe of blush.
Kat Graham
Summer is not the only bronzer appropriate season! Give your skin a shimmery glow for the spring with a swipe of bronzer on the cheeks and a mix of gold, brown, and nude shadows on the eyes. This look will highlight facial features and make even a simple look super chic.

Fashion 101: Styling the Military Jacket

Military jackets are definitely a trend that will be staying, even throughout spring! Spring is not an entirely hot season which means light weight jackets and cardigans will be needed. A military jacket is a great light weight throw over that can easily go with any outfit despite its very distinct pattern. The black, brown, and dark green colors in camo are all part of neutral color families which mean that they can go with other colors in your outfit easily without clashing. Below are three of my fave celebs sporting military jacket with tips on how you can rock them to.

Selena Gomez
Selena Gomez is very casual and cool while wearing dark wash skinny jeans, black booties, and a blue t-shirt paired with a military jacket. The military jacket keeps her casual look from being boring and too simple by adding a trend and visual appeal through the pattern. A military jacket is such a great alternative to a hoodie or everyday jacket.

Kat Graham
Stud and spike detailing has been very popular and is a fun DIY project that you can do at home with a few materials. Kat Graham made her military jacket go from casual to glam with lots of gold detailing throughout the jacket and rolled up sleeves. Her sky high heels, black tights, oversized bag, and accessories add to her chic ensemble giving her a vibe of urban fabulous-ness.
Vanessa Hudgens
Vanessa Hudgens is known for her boho style which she always looks amazing in. Of course Vanessa will still keep with her bohemian look even in a military jacket. I love that Vanessa went for an all green jacket oppose to a camo look in this outfit because it is very subtle while still standing out because of its touch of bagginess. The military jacket is used as an accessory here in Vanessa's wide leg jeans, wide belt, and Wild Fox t-shirt look and it totally makes the look!
Are you liking the military jacket?

Hair 101: Modern Side Ponytail

Kat Graham
Kat Graham has definitely updated the side ponytail in this look! The sleek sides add a chic side to the look while the waves in the ponytail give off a fun and young vibe. Pushing some of the hair to the front also adds uniqueness and flirty-ness. All you need to recreate the look is a brush, clips, a ponytail holder, and a curling iron.
  1. Begin by sleeking down all the sides of your hair and brushing it upwards.
  2. As you brush upwards to middle of your head, begin to brush one side sideways.
  3. When you get your hair to the right secure it with a ponytail holder.
  4. If wanted, curl your ponytail and fingercomb to add waves.
  5. Use the clips to secure any loose pieces and clip the front peices in place.

Teen Choice Awards 2012 Fashion

The Teen Choice Awards 2012  appeared Sunday and the celebs looked amazing! The majority of dresses were super girly and a-line while some ladies went for edgy looks and even separates. Keep on reading to see some of my favorite looks!
Lucy Hale

Selena Gomez

Lucy Hale and Selena Gomez both rocked the feminine girly looks in bright colors and a-line styles. The neckline in Lucy Hale's dress is super flirty as well as her flowing sude braid. The bright pink against Selena's skin keeps her glowing and the minimal accessories makes her hair and make-up stand out even more.
Kat Graham
As you may have figured out Kat Graham is one of my top style crushes! I love her mix of edgy, girly, and quirky in this look. The pattern of her dress keeps you interested while the necklace adds a touch of shine. Kat knows to keep her hair and makeup simple since her outfit is doing all the wonderful talking!

Kristen Stewart
Nina Dobrev
Kristen Stewart and Nina Dobrev kept it edgy and chic. Kristen wore separates include a crisp blazer and leather pants although her hair caught my attention. I love the waves and the slick side with braids. Nina 's dress was totally cool because of the asymmetrical lines and slit.  Nina's silver shoes and two hair twists kept the look soft and not too harsh.
Chelsea Kane
Chelsea Kane's outfit was a total love for me! She was definitely summertime fine and made the soft pastel colors stand out. Chelsea's hair also made my eyes go all over her because althoug it soft it simple, it is also very versatile and chic. Chelsea Kane is getting a lot of style cred lately!
Jackson Rathbone
Last but not least I had to add Jackson Rathbone! Although I normally don't feature guy fashion (I'm not the best at it) I fell in love with Jackson's outfit. His look is so crisp and clean while still having a cool edge. The bracelets, slighty unbuttoned shirt, and dark wash jeans is the perfect combo! Take some notes fellas!

Fashion 101: Bold and Fab

Kat Graham
I am always looking at pictures of Kat Graham because she is super daring with all her looks and doesn't care if everybody is not a fan of her style. Kat's outfit and beauty look for the 2012 MTV Movie Awards was extremely beautiful to me and showcased her best features. It is totally bold and fab! Kat slicked back her hair and used minimal make-up which let her outfit and accessories take center stage. Sometimes it is okay to let your outfit be the big bang of a look because it still makes heads turn. Since the dress has a slit it shows off her fab legs and the earrings make you look straight at her face. Recreate the same concept in your very own look by toning down your beauty and hair look and putting on a bold outfit that shows off!

Get The Look: Kat Graham Standout Beauty

Kat Graham Beauty Look

Kat Graham always stands out and takes risk with both fashion and beauty. She has to be one of my favorite celebrities and role models because she is so confident and empowering. Her make-up look her is perect for prom or any event that you want to be the center of attention. Kat's hair is also gorgeous as it is swept to the side with beautiful waves.
  1. Start off the look with a clean face. Add concealer and foundation as necessary, but don't make it too cakey.
  2. Use a primer or base on your entire face, especially your eyes, cheeks, and even your lips.
  3. Contur your face with a rosy, brown blush.  Brush on the blush fom your cheeks up to your temples.
  4. Create crisp lines for your eyeshadow by putting tape on the outside of your eyes. Then brush on a white eyeshadow on your browbone for your highlight.
  5. Use a dark pink eyeshadow on the rest of your lid and a little bit of gold shadow right by your lashline.
  6. Take a jet black liquid liner and line your eyes and mascara to coat your lashes.
  7. Make your eyebrows powerful by using an eyebrow pencil and make soft lines of definition.
  8. For the big statment use a hot pink lipstick on your lips, even add gloss over it. Also, you can use different color and sized jewels on the outside coners of your eyes.
Kat's hair can be easily recreated on medium to long hair. Curl your hair lightly and make soft waves and brush them to the side. Make sure to pin the back! Use a brush and hairspray to create the perfect wave going across the top of your head. Rock tthe lock chicas!
