Love the Look: So Denim, So Cool

I am in love with this cool denim look Gwen Stefani is rocking. I have always adored Gwen Stefani's cool girl street style, but I especially love how she styled this denim jumpsuit. At first thought, a denim jumpsuit makes me think of a lumberjack, but when I saw Gwen pair it with fresh seakers, funky sunglasses, and a bright lipstick, I fell in love! Not only was it her make-up and beauty that made me fall, but also her quirky topknot. All over denim is a major trend for spring, but it requires lots of fun accessories to make it your own. Don't forget to bring a cute kid along for awe factor!

OOTD: Soft Denim and Spring Flowers

It finally felt like spring so I had to pull out my favorite floral pants paired with a light denim top and my new oxford cutouts. I absolutely loved thee casual yet girly look of this outfit. I purchased my floral jeans a year ago at Delia's, I purchased my denim top about two years ago at Marshall's, and my shoes are from Marshall's as well. I decided to keep my hair up in a ponytail to keep it out of my face and wore minimal jewelry and makeup.

Fashion 101: Color Denim Into Fall

So many girls think that just because it's fall they can no longer wear color and that's completely wrong! I personally love wearing color and pattern on the bottom and more neutral colors on top because it is unexpected. So for fall keep out your colored denim and pair them with black blazer, sweaters, cardigans, and don't forget to colorblock!

Hayden keeps it chic and warm in black combats and a structured blazer. The blazer and boots keep the look fall appropriate while the color makes the look fun. The royal blue pants pop against all the black and is a great addition of color.

Adding a sweater, cardigan, or a cool statement will take you colored denim into fall. Of course a sweater type top will keep you warm throughout the chilly days while the colored denim will put the color and warmth back into the entire room





OOTD: Ombre Down

This ootd was all about mixing summer color with fall basics. Fall is all about skinny jeans and long sleeves, while summer is about trying new trends and wearing lots of bold color. The entire outfit just makes me happy especially my pink ombre jeans and yellow, pink, and gold necklace.

 The top is a long denim button down which I of course buttoned up and tucked in. This top has been featured in several of my ootd posts, but this is the first time I have ever worn it this way, it was time for something different. Since the top is just denim, I dressed it up with a beautiful necklace that somehow got stuck underneath my top, my bad! The necklace reminds of a chandelier because it tiers down with yellow and pink mixed with gold in an upside down triangle.

 The jeans and shoes are the standout of the outfit. My mom actually got me these pair of jeans from JCPenney and I fell in love with them! They can be worn casually with a t-shirt or casually dressy like my outfit. The jeans add a bold flair and are unique since they are not all over color. The shoes help to lengthen my leg since they are tall and wedges and also because they are pink like the pants. The jeans and the shoes add a fun, bold, and unique flair!

Denim shirts, jackets, and tops became a fashion statement just a little while back, but now they are a fashion trend! So for all the fashionistas who have been rocking the denim top since day one, don't stop wearing the denim just because everyone else has started. Find out how to style and revamp the denim top from classic, to casual, to chic.

Make your denim shirt fit the classic put together look by ironing or pressing it to be super crisps. Button the shirt up, but leave a few unbuttoned at the bottom for room to tie the shirt. This looks great with high waisted pants like Annalynne's or just put a camisole or tank top underneath.

Throw your denim shirt over your favorite tee or use it as a jacket. This looks super casual, but still fashionable. Alexa Chung's look goes from a very dressed up edgy outfit, to more laid back just by adding the loose denim top.

Get the ultra chic look like Ashley Olsen by buttoning up and tucking in your denim top. A contrast of light and dark denim is a great visual and actually adds shape at the waist. If you want to go extremely chic and fashionable, then try buttoning your top all the way up and placing a chunky necklace right under the collar.

Flared jeans are back in style and taking the place of only wearing skinny jeans 24/7. Flared jeans comein such a variety, they can go from retro 70's style to just a slight flare to show off nice peep toe heels. There is even a skinny flare style of jean that mixes skinny jeans and flare jeans together, Alessandra Ambrosio's jeans are the best example of this style. Flared jeans work on all body types, a wide flare is great for tall girls while a more slimming flare works for short girls. A higher rise flare jeans shows off hips and creates lovely curves. You don't have to just get flared denim, flared trousers and pants also look fabulous for work and special occassions.

Outfit Of The Day: Summer Florals

Floral jeans and a denim button up are staple items in my wardrobe right now. They can both be worn seperately with a completely different look, or in this summery casual look I am wearing above. This outfit is perfect for a day that is not extremely hot, but it is still very warm. It is also very casual while still being a bit daring and super trendy!

I always toggle between wearing my denim button up down or crop it up by tying it in the front. Either way works for the look , but for chose to tie it up to give a fun, carefree vibe. I paired a purple cami underneath to bring out the purple and pink flowers in my floral jeans.

My shoes are just everyday flats that sparkle in silver glitter! As you may have figured out, these are the same skinny jeans I wore in an earlier OOTD post, I just rolled them up to make them more heat appropriate. My jewlery consists of my favorite Betsey Johnson boyfriend watch, a flower ring, and a butterfly ring. Can you see my nails sporting the butterfly design as well?

I love Miranda Kerr's jumpsuit which is loose against her body, but still keeps her frame looking long and slim. An all black ensemble could become boring and dull, but Miranda kept the outfit fresh and fun with aa colorful bag and a jean jacket. Miranda's beauty look consists of very minimal make-up and her hair pulled back which helps to let the outfit stand out. Recreate Miranda's look by finding a neautral colored jumpsuit that suits your body with just a little bit of flowiness to it. Next add a cute jean jacket or even a cardigan over your jumpsuit, just in case it gets chilly, and a stand out bag. Hailee Steinfield makes a colorful dress and chic clutch casual and trendy by adding a jean jacket and rolling up the sleeves to dress . Miranda down. Hailee still stays girly, fun, and warm with the jean jacket. Miranda Kerr gives off a cool vibe in which the jean jacket adds to the look! The jacket helps to balance out the flowiness of Miranda's top and gives a little texture. Miley Cyrus takes edgy retro up a notch by adding denim on denim with high waisted shorts, a rocker tee, and the rounded sunglasses! Miley definitely knows how to incorporate a denim jacket into the springtime and balance it out with shorts. Stay warm and super cute when the springtime brings in wind and chills by wearing a jean jacket!
