Confidence Booster #10

Everyone has a time when they are feeling down on themselves or just not very confident. The best way to fix the problem is by making a list or telling yourself all the positive, good, and exciting things about yourself. Wether it's that you have breathtaking eyes, are the captain of the basketball team, or passed your driving test, it doesn't matter unless the fact is happy and good. Talking to yourself or thinking about positive things in your life is not concieted or arrogant, unless it is a constant situation, it helps to remind you how great you really are. Sometimes it takes the things we already know about ourselves, but tend to not think about that really make us happy and confidence.

Here's a list of positive things about myself:
  1. I have 215 followeers on my blog who always give great feedback and comments.
  2. My skin is beginning to get clearer and my hair is almost the length I would like.
  3. I am finally developing my own personal style that I love.
  4. I am the president of my class.
  5. I  feel genuinely confident about myself.

Must Have Friday: Gorgeous Hair

Must Have: Gorgeous Hair

Gorgeous hair is a must have for me and guess what? I finally have it! I actully went to the hair dresser and got a relazer, trim, and my hair flat-ironed. My hair was 12 weeks post relaxer, the longest I hae ever waited, and my hair now feels lighter and I can see my scalp again. The back of my hair is now completely past my shoulders and the front is a little over inch past my collar bone. My next hair goal is for it to be just as healthy and at armpit length. I am so happy with my hair that I even added Farrah Fawcett curls in the front! I took pictures, but I am not able to post them yet but they will be ASAP!

How is you hair going?

Fashion 101: Karlie Kloss

Karlie Kloss Clothes
Karlie Kloss

Karlie Kloss looks absolutely gorgeous and casual-chic in this roman inspired maxi dress. Maxi dresses can begin to look the same and appear repetitive, but with the right accessories they can stand out. Since the maxi dress Karlie is wearing is one shoulder and has an asymmetrical side to show off her legs she stands out even more. The small one shoulder bag adds to the look of simplicity and subtle chicness as well sandals. The slender gold bangles and brown shades give the look a color boost and draw even more attention.  For shorter girls  taller pair of shoes will help the maxi dress look better and their body look longer. A maxi dress with a cinch in the waist will even help define the waist and add curves.

What do you think about Karlie Kloss' look?

Get The Look: Soft and Natural

Jessica Alba Hair
Jessica Alba
Jessica Alba looks so freshed faced and her natural beauty is radiating. This look is perfect for everyday and takes less than 5 minutes to complete. All you need to recreate the look is tinted moisturizer, mascaara, rosy blush, and a nude gloss. Have a curling iron and brush in hand to get Jessica's hair.
  1. Begin with a clean face and conceal any need areas.
  2. Rub the tinted moisturizers in a even layer on your face.
  3. Take your blush and apply it to the apples of your cheeks up to your temples. The application will be even better if you smile while applying the blush.
  4. Apply 1-2 coats of mascara to your lashes. Adding a light line of liner is optional, but will help to define your eyes more.
  5. Add a nude gloss to your lips to complete the make-up look.
  6. Leave your hair in it's natural state or loosely curl your hair and brush it out for loose waves.

Outfit Of The Day: Coral Romper

I am so happy to be doing a OOTD post in my very first romper! It is a coral/light orange color and I purchased it from Marshall's. It fits me just a little baggy, but it's better to have it a little loose so I have room to breath. This look is great for any casual daym especially when the tempatures are on the rise!

The frilly one shoulder accent is my favorite part of the romper because it adds such a cute, girly feel. I paired the look with simple sandals, but the look would also look fun and flirty by switching it up with sneakers!

I wore my favorite flower cocktail rings since I was feeling super summer-y and girly! I even through on my white shades that helped protect my eyes from the heat rays. My nails are painted in a mix of two different orange nail polishes with a bright yellow polish on my ring finger.

DIY Nails: Wonder Woman

These Wonder Woman nails are so cute and they also work as Fourth of July nails! The picture of these nails are a little messy since I didn't have a chance to wipe off the excess polish around my cuticle. The nail look is actually very easy, even the star! All you need to create the look is red and blue polish, a white nail striper, and glitter polish.

  1. Begin with clean nails and coat them with a clear basecoat.
  2. Paint youe pointer finger and ring finger with the blue polish and the remaining nails with red polish.
  3. Take your white nail striper and paint about  lines on the red nails.
  4. Use the glitter polish or glitter shatter polish to coat over the blue polish on your pointer finger.
  5. Take your white nail striper and carefully draw an outline of a star on your ring finger. Fill in the outline after you draw it.
  6. To add extra sparkle, dot sparkles around the star and make the tip of your nail a sparky red.
  7. Coat your nails with a clear top coat after all the nails are dry.
  • If you have problems drawing a star, just add sparkly dots.

Trend Alert: Coral Colors

Emmy Rossum
Lauren Conrad
Sofia Vergara
The newest upcoming color trend is all shades of coral. Coral is a branch off color of orange and often a color that reminds people of the beach. Coral can be seen as the lip color of Emmy Rossum, the soft lightness of Lauren Conrad's skirt, or even solid and bright like Sofia Vergara's gown. At the moment I even have coral on my nails as a polish! Coral can be incorporated into make-up and beauty as a nail polish, lipstick, and even as a blush or eyeshadow.  As for clothing, coral is a beautiful color for jeans and skirts or as a cute top. I personally would love to have a bright coral top handle bag to carry around for the rest of summer and even for fall. Coral is such a versatil color that I predict the trend to carry on into fall in lighter, more subtle shades.

Will you be sporting the coral trend?
